I purchased the 12-inch Airvention fan which comes with a provided battery. Thinking I would need a separate backup battery to allow longer run times, I purchased this backup battery. Even though the run times on the batteries is enough to last the night (on a single battery) I'm glad to have a backup.In conjunction with the fan the charging and power options are excellent. Use it strictly as a battery for fan, works as expected. Charge the battery while powering the fan, works as expected. Charge the battery in standalone condition, works as expected. Use the battery to power other USB devices, work as expected. The fan can run without a battery, just plug it straight into the wall. Very versatile!Swapping batteries is not a problem once you figure out just the right angle to seat the battery into the back of the fan. The fact that the battery can be removed and replaced with another means you don't have to wait for it to charge. An empty battery can be charged "off-line" without needing the fan.Very convenient and extremely versatile! I highly recommend the fan and getting a backup battery. You'll be covered to run the fan on Medium-High for a couple of nights on just batteries alone. With a backup battery and a schedule for charging empty ones, it'll be possible to run completely on batteries for many days.

So happy I have 2 batteries for my cordless fan. I have been interchanging it all summer. Plus it charges really fast

Bought this for the cordless fan. It gets about 2 hours on high speed. Buy a corded fan for long term use.
