so useful. Fill and let the absorbent cotton keep the felt tip just the right wetness to seal but not overwhelm the glue on the envelopes. Good for doing lots of envelopes at once

Can't beat this item for sealing your envelopes. It does not get gummed up with the glue (from the envelopes) the way the cheaper sealers do. Plan on using rubbing alcohol instead of water the way others have suggested. It will keep the weird smell and mold away.

This is a nice product. The sponge is strong and sturdy and does not collapse upon use. I am thrilled that I found this product. I love that I can use water to seal the envelopes instead of a chemical. I usually don't store the water in mine, I typically empty it after use as I don't seal envelopes everyday. The wide barrel makes for easy gripping. Everyone in the office loves this tool. It makes sealing a large number of envelopes quick and easy.

This moistener worked less than a month. The tip won't stay damp regardless of what you try. I have soaked the tip for an hour and also overnight. Nothing. I have cleaned the tip thoroughly. Nothing. Kept it full of water. Nothing.Avoid this ridiculously expensive hunk of junk.

We have one of these at our small office that's been around for years. The lid has a crack in it but doesn't leak. Still... it won't live forever and I looked for a replacement as we deal with a lot of mail. Junk junk and more junk and I couldn't find these anywhere for a long time.Did a happy dance when I found these and bought three. Super easy to use. Unscrew the top, add water let the mail pile grow. No slop, no too much water all over everything, no leaks. Only fill the reservoir about 1/2 full after initial use. I leave them in a cup with pens and a drawer laying on its side and have never had one leak.

At first glance, this product is chunky and looks more like a highlighter or a marker - that sort of thing. But fill it with water, wait a few minutes for the applicator tip to soak up, and it is the BEST pen-style handheld moistener you will ever use. NO QUESTION!If you use enough envelopes and/or stamps to garner the use of a moistener, but not enough to purchase a "professional grade" one, this is the one for you. Don't even consider the glue sticks or the other water-filled kinds they sell in stores; you know, the blue ones with the cheap, spongy tips.I've never used another moistener like this, and I will never use any other from now on.

Don't think it is worth $10.00. I have to twist the lid a lot to get the sponge moistened. I definitely like it better then the stupid sticky envelope sealer though.

Terribly overpriced for what it is, but it does work well except for the mold issue.Veterans Tip: Use a solution of 30% rubbing alcohol, which will dramatically extend the life, without reducing functionality.
