I like a spiral notepad as it's easier to write on & flip a page plus when you finish all 80 pages on one side, flip the note pad around for another 80 pages. The size is great to take with you anywhere.

I like to keep my notebooks simple and this one is great for sorting my shopping lists. I like the top spirals and perforated pages.

Although I like the pale green tinted pages, this steno pad has such thin covers (especially back cover) that it's just too flexible to be very useful. It's positively floppy. Makes it very poor choice for writing on your lap, etc. Look for "sturdy back cover" or like to find better, only slightly more expensive steno pads. I ordered and like the one by Minitra, but there are others.

The wire at the top is sturdy. The perforations that let you tear off a sheet work cleanly. Paper isn't too thin.
