This clarinet would make a great starter instrument for any beginner. It is durable and easy to play. It feels just as you would expect it to for the price point. An affordable low budget elementary level student clarinet. Comes in a soft carry case and overall lightweight for easy carrying to and from school/practice. This set comes with each piece individually wrapped and includes a cleaning kit. Ebonized wood for durable play which will help it to handle a little less graceful handling. This would be good for a beginner student. Please note that the main listing photo clearly shows two mouthpieces included in the full set of pieces, there is only one mouthpiece that comes with this set. No instruction are included for the beginner on how to piece together, so prior knowledge is needed or finding an online tutorial will be necessary to help learn the steps in assembling properly before play. You may need to help your child with fitting the pieces together assuring they are evenly snug and aligned properly. I would suggest researching a higher quality reed for use and possibly a step-up ligature to produce the best tone possible.
