The dent that is in them is intentional for certain applications. Doesn’t affect flow. Nice headers.

I installed these in my car about 6 months ago, then ran a tune on my i3 Sport Diablo tuner that was created by DiabLew (I HIGHLY recommend).Pros: NOTICABLE gains in the low end. Slightly throatier sound.Cons: I had to modify the welds on the flanges, it was too sloppy for the bolts. No flange gaskets were sent. Wrong header gasket was sent (I have an 8 cyl., not a v6).Indifferent: This is a PITA install, just because a Camaro does not leave a while lot of room on the left and right banks... Though there is more room on the right.Overall: I would do this again. I like the gains, I like the sound, I thought it was a worth while upgrade just because I can feel and hear the difference with an afternoon of work and spending less than $400.Follow the bolt tightening pattern and use a torque wrench!!!!!!!!!!!

I opened my box, saw a dent an freaked out.Well drivers side header is made that way, it is pressed to fit around something on the motor. Look at all the pictures, you will notice a dent just above the collector.I did get the wrong gaskets with mine as well as I see others have too.I got v6 gaskets with a set of v8 headers.. got to laugh.Over all I’m pleased , look good, came quick.But don’t open your box an freak when you see a dent.

Product came dented missing hardware and wrong gaskets. Finish is just ok . Sent them back. Would spend a little more for something better

For being CARB legal, these are perfect to be ran in all 50 US states. They’re the biggest shorty headers for the 5th gen Chevy Camaro V8, I believe. These are great for keeping the stock downpipes/cats, or upgrading to high flow catted downpipes.Due to the design and size of the collector pipes, it makes it impossible to tighten the nuts and bolts from above the engine bay downwards. You will have to run a 35-40mm length bolt from the top down (on the header flange), and then have the nut tighten from underneath (on the downpipe flange).Aside from the nut and bolt issue to connect the downpipe(s), the rest of the shorty header design isn’t too different from the factory shorty headers/exhaust manifolds. You will want to run some heat resistant (titanium or fiberglass) sleeves on the spark plug wires, especially if you don’t get the ceramic coated headers. You will also have to bend the engine oil dipstick for proper clearance, once you manage to re-install it after header installation.For the best performance, you can either run some off-road downpipes or high flow catted downpipes. The stock downpipes aren’t ultra restrictive, and depending on where you live, you can even go for a secondary cat delete. This way, you don’t have to worry about getting a custom tuner/tune to disable the downstream/secondary O2 sensors.
