I replacing a wood deck on a trailer and these work great. Drill the right size hole and when you screw it in it slows down when you hit the steel, but then makes its own threads and sucks the wood down tight. the torx heads are great. They don't slip

I re-decked half of a 24ft gooseneck and had zero issues. I started out with a 7/32 but moved to a 15/64 (I would suggest starting with 7/32). The screws cut their own threads really well and I had zero heads strip. I was even using a 1/2" impact (carefully) to run the screws because my 12v 1/4 impact drivers were going pretty slowly. A drive bit was not included - which didn't upset me from a value perspective, but considering most deck screws come with them, it's good to know ahead of time. They run a T-30 bit.

Great product, better than I thought was going to be. Good weight to them. They don’t feel like cheap flimsy screws. I bought the (1/4-20) to secure 2x4s to a trailer frame. Did some research and bought (7/32) drill bits to drill pilot holes just a pinch smaller diameter than the screws. That way the screws could make their own threads in the metal frame and they worked perfectly for these screws. Wood is VERY secure to it. Will buy again

These Tread cutting screws are great. I used 16 of them to secure new floor boards in my trailer and everyone of them performed great. Did not break or strip a one.
