First time I’ve used French wire and I love it. Bought to string some pearls and needed French wire to finish and attach a clasp. Very easy to work with and really love the professional neat look. A warning it did take me a few tries to get the correct size. I had 3 mm cord but ended up needing 8 mm French wire because the needle on my cord the French wire would not go over the bottom of it so I had to size up, but it still looks beautifully finished.

I broke a string of pearls and needed to repair them as quickly as possible. The French wire I ordered came quickly, was exactly what I needed and I was able to restring the pearls without anyone being wiser. Thanks for your timely response!

Oddly enough, the silver French wire came in a little snap case, which helps immensely to keep it contained. The gold French wire doesn’t have a case. I cut a corner of the package to let out a little at a time, but would have liked the case, as I only use a little at a time.

Handle this beautiful wire with care as it it is very delicate. I used it as protective loops for the clasps when reknotting pearls and it looks fantastic.
