My son had this rice cooker and loves it, so when I was looking for one for my house I decided to buy the same one. It is easy to use, just push the start lever and it automatically switches to warm mode once rice is fully cooked. It works great on both white rice and wild rice. We only need a cup at a time so the size is perfect. Very easy to clean. I saw some comments about it boiling over, but the only time that has happened was the one time I used too much water.

FYI Stuff:If you lose included measure cup it holds 2/3 cup or 160ml of rice.Sealing ring wide part seals against inner pot when putting sealing ring back on after cleaning. Narrow groove clips over top plate.Do the half pot water cook when received to get rid of initial burner heating smell and steam clean inside.Pro:Mini rice cooker with a nice inner pot. A lot of these have an inner pot so thin that it bends with slight finger pressure. The inner pot in this is at least a couple millimeters and has no deflection from pressing. Nonstick coating looks decent and working fine. Will have to see how it holds out.Takes up little space and and great when just needing two servings.Removable cord is nice and has a standard D type connector like used on computer power supplies. I used an old 5 foot computer cord as I needed longer cord than 3 foot included one.Silicone seals seem good but would like heavier duty.Con:The pot is in keep warm mode as soon as plugged in without ability to turn off except pull cord out. Bottom plate is 120 degrees with no pot in it.Included cord is 3 foot. I needed longer one.Took 36 minutes to cook 2 cups of rice, not 25 like mentioned in manual. Will need to try just 1 cup of rice and see if 25 minutes.Top seal plate is thinner and flexes more than would like. Also, it is bare aluminum.

It's super adorable! It's tiny and fits perfectly in my very small kitchen. This is the perfect rice cooker if you're making rice for one or two people, but probably too small if you want rice for your whole family. It's easy to operate and clean, and has been a good buy so far!

As someone that lives solo it’s hard to find hacks to make cooking for one worthwhile, but this little rice maker is great for quick and easy dinners.I usually cook basmati rice when making quick weeknight stirfries or even to just throw some Lao Gan Ma chili crisp and a fried egg on. I use 1 cup well rinsed rice to 1 1/3 cup water plus 1/2 tsp salt. Comes out perfect every time. Firm “dry†rice that isn’t mushy or starchy or clumpy. I’ve made it without rinsing the rice thoroughly and it definitely comes out starchier. It’s not a big deal but it’s easy enough to throw the rice in a wire strainer and swish it around with my fingers under running water for a minute so I advise it.The machine itself is very easy to use. When you plug it in, it defaults to the “Stay Warm†option. As soon as you close the lid and flip the switch down, it starts. When it’s done (about 25-30 min), it automatically flips back. It doesn’t burn or keep cooking or anything so you can leave it on for a bit if you’re not ready for it yet or just forgot.I haven’t had any issues with boiling over. I only ever make 1 cup uncooked rice at a time though, so maybe more than that can create issues. It is pretty full after it’s done cooking so I wouldn’t try making too much more in here. Maybe go for something a bit larger if you’re cooking for two or more.The insert is great non-stick metal that cleans super easy in the sink. I don’t want to screw up the non-stick coating so I wash it by hand with mild dish soap. It takes all of 30 seconds and there’s never anything stuck on that I really have to scrub.The only slight issue I have with it is that the cord is pretty short so you need to keep it very close to an outlet. I also wish there were an easy way to wrap the cord when storing to keep it near. A lot of devices have the ability to wrap the cord in a recessed track underneath. That would have been a nice feature.Overall I’m very satisfied with it. The size, consistency, quality, and price were all spot on. For the $30 or whatever it was, I can safely say this is a great buy. Would easily recommend.

I use Basmati rice, soak it first for about 30 minutes, then drain and put my stuff in it.1 cup (provided) riceolive oilTurmericGarlic chili Salt/Pepper1.5 cups brothStir it up a bit, close the lid, and press the button. It will pop over to warm when it's done, about 15 or 20 minutes. Nice and fluffyI tried the 2 cups as well but I can cook it on the stove faster and fluffier. It is the perfect size for a party of 1 or 2.

Rice cookers like this are kind of a generic item, not much to set them apart from one another. This one may work just like all the others, but unlike most of them it looks stylish and sleek. It's attractive enough to leave on the counter. Which is great since I use the rice cooker often enough that I leave it on the counter.One feature I have mixed feelings about is the lid. Usually the lid is one piece that doesn't attach to the cooker. This one has a lid attached with a hinge. So to be able to clean it, the inner lid removes and can be washed. The silicone gasket is more than a little fiddly. You have to take it off to get it clean, but it's fiddly to get back on.I wish it had a power switch. My last mini rice cooker did and I miss it.Oh, and yes, this one makes very good rice.

As a single person I find cooking time consuming and often opt for take out for the convenienence. This tool, combined an my new air fryer will change that! Simple to use, all you do is measure the amount of rice, full to the appropriate line, and flip the switch. No settings to set and no times to adjust. Then wait for it to cook. 2 cups took about 15 minutes. It sets itself to warm and all you have to do is serve up perfectly cooked rice. Measuring cup and spoon provided. Afterwards, just wash the inner pot and insert for the lid. It's small so doesn't take up counter or cupboard space, and you can cook more than just rice, so it isn't a unitasker. It's not even expensive! 365 day warranty gives me confidence that it will last. The money I will save over take out more than pays the cost. I even like the colour! Recommended!!
