I have several carriers about the size of this one that are miniature versions of larger dog and cat carriers with the grate metal doors. My concern has always been transporting little peeps whose feet and noses could potentially get caught in the gate. I ordered this carrier expressly as it resolves that issue! Plus, it is so well constructed, much attention given to detail. It has a hard removal bottom that is water proof on one side and fuzzy on the other. As well, it comes with a padded, cozy bottom. The carrier comes in a nice flat package and is easy to store like that. Zip up these sides and then use the zippered mesh door to put your peep inside. One of the horizontal sides is clear plastic for light and viewing. It's very sturdy and easy to clean!Insofar as peep size for this carrier, it is intended for very small animals and can accommodate many different species, such as reptiles, birds, guinea pigs, and baby animals. I estimate the max size would be animals about 6-8" in length and weighing only a few pounds. Also, be aware it is not chew proof on the inside if you are transporting a peep who is prone to chewing.A few further points for consideration are that the mesh door and three small ports holes on the horizontal side with the clear window, are the only ventilation areas. I offer a word of caution to not leave your peep in this carrier in extreme temperatures. Take short trips during very hot or very cold days, and keep the carrier in comfortable climate controlled conditions.

This is such a nice travel carrier for my bearded dragon and even Guinea pigs. It’s comfortable, breathable, and safe. It is sturdy as well! I love the stylish design. It comes with a removable and washable pad which I love.

I used this carrier to bring my mini-lop (2lbs) rabbit to the vet. This was the perfect size for him, but I don't think a much bigger animal would have been comfortable. I liked that the carrier had good structure when it was zipped up, and the removable hard bottom piece makes it easy to clean. I thought that the included pad for the bottom seemed a little flat, so I added a more comfy bed we had already instead. Bunny did not have any problems breathing, and the vet said the carrier seemed good, but I felt like there could have been more ventilation. There were 3 air holes at the bottom and mesh on one zip up side, but I think the plastic made it seem like there wasn't enough ventilation. The plastic window was nice for the bunny to see out of and for me to keep an eye on him. The detachable carrying strap felt flimsy and I don't think I would use it, but the attached carry handle is very nice.

This bag initially had a really strong smell, so if you order it make sure to let it air out for a day or two. Luckily the smell went away quickly, so it wasn't a huge deal. I used this for when I was picking up a rescue leopard gecko. I definitely would not recommend this for a reptile that may have legs or one without legs that is small. The air holes are about the size of a nickel in spots, so it has to be something that won't fit through that space. The reptiles may get their nails and toes stuck in the insert mat, so I would not recommend using that part wit them.The mesh window on the door is a great feature. There is also a small pocket on the other opening -- since there is an opening on both ends. There is a handle or a longer strap pending how you want to carry it. I would say it would likely work best for like a guinea pig, farret, rat, etc. I would not recommend for a beardy or a leopard gecko.

We needed to transport our Guinea pig, and this worked great. This bag is durable. I like that it can fold flat when not in use, yet easily zips up to be put together. It has breathing holes and one side that is mesh. There is a nice sturdy carry handle. We have a 6-month-old pig, and he can fit inside but it gets snug. It's fine for a quick trip. I like that it comes with a washable pee pad. We have only used it for a quick trip, but I worry about the mesh side being eating through. Our piggy loves to chew on everything! So far, no issues. I am happy to have a container to transport him when needed.

I was tired of transporting my bearded dragon in a box, and she didn't think much of it either. So I was very glad that I found this carrier. I love that it's see-through so I can check on her easily, and I think she likes seeing out.
