This is by far the best pool cleaner I have ever owned. It combines a floor, wall, water line and surface area cleaner. Once completed it will float to the surface and park. You also have the ability to use your phone to control/steer the pool cleaner while on top of the water.

First, before going into the Beatbots, I'll give you my top picks. For entry level pool robots (bare bones, for flat pools and above ground pools), I like the Aiper SE or the Aiper Segull. These don't do walls, they don't even scrub, it's just a basic sweeper. For mid grade, I like the Wybot C2 or the Aiper S1. For the mid/high grade, I like the Beatbot Aquasense (basic) or the Aiper S1 Pro. But for high end, my pick would be anything from the Aquasense 2 product line.I suggest you check out the entire Beatbot product line prior to making a decision. In terms of scrubbing, suction, and floor/wall/waterline cleaning, they all perform pretty much the same. But they vary quite a bit in amenities and that are frankly unexpected. At the top of the line, there is the Aquasense ULTRA, which is new for 2025, and the most sophisticated pool robot I've ever seen. It's got over 30 sensors, AI scanning cameras, and just tons of impressive features. This is AquaSense 2 Pro, which is their penultimate offering, one step below the ULTRA. Here are some of my favorite features:Smart navigation. I mentioned that the ULTRA has AI scanning and over 30 sensors. But for me, this Pro version is also ridiculously high tech - with 22 sensors, smart navigation, pool mapping, and obstacle avoidance. Remember that smart navigation means it cleans the pool faster - hitting every corner, and saving on battery life.Double filtration. Consumers are often preoccupied with the technical aspects, like apps and battery life. But I can tell you the #1 complaint from pool owners is their robot leaves behind sand and small silt. There's no point of investing in a nice pool robot if you have t clean up after it. So the double filter may seem peripheral or superfluous, but I guarantee it makes a big difference. And the baskets are easy to access and easy to clean. There's no filter to scrub - just pull out the baskets and hose them down.Long battery life and quick charging. Both the Pro and the ULTRA have an extra large 13,400 mAh lithium battery. For the Pro, this translates to 4 hours of bottom cleaning, or up to 11 hours of surface cleaning.Weight is an issue for some people. Remember when you pull it out of the pool, there will be debris and water in there as well, adding to the weight. But dry weight - the Pro is 25 pounds, and the ULTRA is 30 pounds. But the fact that they are self-retrieving makes it easier. All the Aquasense 2 have the optional clarifying cartridge. I personally am slightly ambivalent about this feature. You replace the cartridge once a month, and it clarifies as it goes. I totally understand the benefit, but for me it's not a big deal to pour in a bottle of clarifier as needed. My other favorite feature is the eco-mode, which is great for vacation. You leave it in the pool, and it runs for a set amount of time each day. For example, on the 7 day mode, it will run 45 minutes per day, every other day, on a single charge. The Aiper S1 Pro has a similar feature. The only downside to Beatbot - there's a lot of tech in here. While I haven't had a single issue yet with any of the Beatbots I've tested, there's a lot that can go wrong. Fortunately they offer a generous warranty - but if it needs a repair, living without the robot for a few weeks is a concern. So while these are durable and smartly designed robots, I do understand that some people may be attracted to simpler, lower tech brands.

So, this is our first time owning a robotic pool cleaner, so we don’t have much to compare it to.We do have a suction pool cleaner that you stick on the end of a hose but that is a different animal all together. That thing kind of gets stuck following the same path repeatedly and usually does not reach the entire pool without a little prodding with a pool brush. And you have to run the pool pump for it to even work. This thing on the other hand gets everywhere! Now mind you it may take one or two trips around your pool for it to get the shape figured out. So for instance, if it doesn’t clean all of your pool’s waterline on its maiden voyage, don’t hold that against it. There’s a bit of a learning curve. Give it a couple trips out and it’ll have things sorted!Operation is pretty straight forward:- Charge it up.- Pick your cleaning preference.- Turn it loose!Ok, so it’s pretty simple, but it’s still a good idea to follow the quick start guide. (The big thing that’s staring you right in the face as soon as you open the box.)It’ll go over charging, general set-up, and WIFI connection. The WIFI is not mandatory, but definitely good to have! It’s recommended that you not run the filtration system at the same time you're running the BeatBot. The current created by the return nozzles can throw BeatBot off it’s course, causing it to loose it’s location and miss portions of your pool. And that would be on the user, not the robot.Pros:- Gets everywhere on the bottom of the pool in less time that the suction cleaner could ever hope to do.- Gets the waterline and border tiles. The other cleaner couldn’t even touch it!- You run your pool pump a lot less! (And for those of you that aren’t sure, let me clear this point up. You still have to run your filtration system. I mean this thing’s good, but it can only do so much! You still need to get the fine dirt out and let the chlorinator do its job. But seriously, we went from running our system 10 hours a day to 5. Kinda happy about that.Cons:- A little heavy… Which, I get it. It’s a robot, they kinda come that way. It's not going to be the same weight as a pool float. So at the better part of 30 lbs, just be careful hefting this thing around so you don’t pull your back out, or drop it on your foot.- The surface skimmer function is not the best. I mean it's ok, just not the greatest.  It gets about 30-40% of the surface debris. The built-in pool skimmer does a much better job. Where this thing shines is getting stuff off of the bottom of the pool!- Price. Not going to lie, the cost is a little steep. For what you pay for this thing you could get a year of basic pool service and have change left over. Now we’ve only owned this thing for two weeks and ran it a handful of times so can’t really speak to reliability yet, but if this thing lasts like we suspect it will (it does come with a 3 year warranty), cost could potentially be offset by the reduction of pump usage. Time will tell.

Alright, let's really dive deep into the Beatbot AquaSense 2 Pro Pool Vacuum Robot, shall we? Imagine, if you will, a world where the dreaded chore of pool cleaning becomes a distant memory. A world where you can spend your precious weekend hours actually enjoying your pool, rather than battling algae and debris like some kind of aquatic gladiator. That's the promise this robot delivers, and honestly, it's a promise it keeps with gusto.First off, the "unmatched 5-in-1 cleaning" isn't just marketing jargon. This little ice-blue marvel skims the surface with an almost eerie efficiency, gobbling up leaves, bugs, and whatever else decides to take a dip. It vacuums the pool floor with a determined, methodical approach, leaving behind a pristine surface that would make a synchronized swimming team proud. And then, it clarifies the water, which is like giving your pool a spa treatment – suddenly, everything looks brighter and cleaner. It's like it has a tiny, internal filtration system that works magic. Now, let's talk about the remote navigation and surface parking. These features are pure genius. No more fishing around for a submerged robot with a long pole like you're trying to catch a particularly stubborn lake monster. With the remote, you can guide it to any specific spot that needs extra attention, or just watch it do its thing like a tiny, determined submarine. And when it's done, it parks itself neatly at the surface, ready to be retrieved. It's like it has a built-in GPS and docking station. The fact that it can handle pools up to 3,875 sq. ft is also a major plus. This isn't some wimpy little robot that's only good for kiddie pools. This thing is a workhorse, capable of tackling even large, complex pool shapes. And let's be honest, who doesn't want a robot that can handle more than their own needs? It makes you feel like you're prepared for anything, even if "anything" is just a really big pool party. The ice blue color is a nice touch, too. It's not just functional, it's stylish. It adds a bit of personality to your pool, like a friendly, aquatic companion. And honestly, watching it zip around the pool is strangely therapeutic. It's like having a tiny, robotic pet that cleans up after itself. In conclusion, the Beatbot AquaSense 2 Pro Pool Vacuum Robot is an investment, yes, but it's an investment in your sanity and your leisure time. It's a game-changer for pool owners who are tired of the endless cycle of cleaning and maintenance. It's like finally hiring a pool cleaning service, but without the recurring fees and the awkward small talk with the pool guy. It just works, and it works well. You'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

What a premium pool cleaning robot. I finally got a chance to test this out and am very impressed with how well it performs. It cleans the bottom, the walls, the edges and even skims the top for leaves. I have used other pool cleaners before but this one did a much better job all in one unit. It starts by mapping out the pool, which was cool. It also has a water clarifying feature which did an awesome job of getting rid of any cloudiness. It also returns to the surface and empties the water so it is lighter. The unit itself is admittedly rather heavy without water. Was happy I didn't have to fish this out. It does this if it happens to run out of battery also. Definitely worth the price this pool cleaner is amazing.

I love this Beatbot Pool Robot! I'm not new to using pool robots, and have had various models over the years, and the technology advancements continue to amaze me. This one is has BIG differences over what previous generations can do, and wow is it convenient!First off, this Beatbot robot is totally wireless, it has a charging cord, takes a few hours to charge. Once charged it can easily clean a pool-- one charge provides 9 hours of surface or 5 hours of floor/wall cleaning. It has a clarifying kit which helps to clean the water - something I'd not experienced before! I got this during the winter, but luckily was able to test it out on an indoor pool, so my review is based on those conditions. The surface cleaning is an innovation that is new to me - and what a cool feature! It swims along the surface and cleans the top! In my yard, this is a huge benefit because debris like leaves are constantly landing on the top faster than the filter can get it. In the test conditions it performed well on this and I can't wait to see it get leaves in the outdoor pool!In terms of its performance in the pool, it cleans the bottom and sides thoroughly, the owner of the pool and I were impressed, and it definitely is both easier and more thorough than manual vacuuming. I think the cleaning results are outstanding.Because the pool was not in bad shape to begin with, I didn't know what to look for to figure out the effectiveness of the clarifying kit, I will find out if I'm faced with less-than-clear water during the summer months. In terms of use, it's a little over 10 lbs, so about what I expect from a good quality pool robot. You place it in the pool and let it lower itself, it maps out the pool shape and contours with AI. Once done, it comes to the surface for removal - a feature I LOVE because my last robot had to be fished out on a hook. This is a big convenience! It's standard clean-up afterwards - easy to remove the basket to clean. It got a lot of tiny debris on the indoor pool, so this is the kind of performance that I look for in a pool vac!The app has some neat features and I love the concept of being able to control it from afar. It is a little buggy, and given that I don't need to worry about the pool when away, and that I like to be around when it's cleaned, I don't know how useful it will be for me personally. However, nice feature to have available should I want to up my technology use for pool maintenance. This is really an OUTSTANDING pool robot, I am so thrilled with how easy it is to use and the increased functionality (surface AND floor/wall cleaning) over previous generations. For me, it's totally worth the investment because it saves me loads of time, and I don't have to hire anyone to clean if I'm not up for the task. Highly, highly recommend.

As arrived, box is descriptive and professionalInside the box is everything you need - vacuum, stand/charger, removal hook, clarifying agent and instructionsStand requires minor assembly (2 plastic feet snap on)Vacuum has the skimmer basket and filter pre-installedCharing base comes with a non-removable 2 prong cable (no ground) that is 6ft longCharing base states to keep out of sun & rain – It appears to be waterproof to some extent but likely best to keep insideDuring testing, I have to say, of all the vacuums I’ve owned and/or tested, this one takes the cake. When looking at value for money:Operation is simpleApp is easy to useVacuum can be easily adjusted or directedSelf-docking means no more fishing it out of the bottom – great for those that may struggle with lifting5-1 means multiple pool cleaning options but, its 2 vacuums in 1 essentially. Ground/wall cleaner and the skimmerHUGE battery and quick charging – just under 4 hours in 2 testing sessions (3 hours 38 mins, 3 hours 49 mins) with long lasting operation (over 6 hours continuous wall/floor cleaning and just under 10 hours on the skimmer)Large tracks and smart operation – does get hung up but figures its way outCLEANS MY STEPSSensors allow for avoidance of objects – even works with your solar blanket; I sometimes only pull the blanket off 80% of the pool as we have a reel – the vacuum has successfully avoided thisA few issues I found:Does get hung up sometimes on my floor drain, will circle and spin trying to get off – I did remove it myself the first time but discovered that on the 2nd and 3rd times it did this it was eventually able to escape itselfIt is quite heavy! Weighing in at almost 27 pounds empty, it can be a struggle to remove. It is handy with the park system so, while its at the edge, you can remove it from your knees, but it is likely 5-10 lbs heavier filled with water.Overall, the features offered here are unmatched. Yes, the price is steep, but this is not your average pool vacuum!
