I have been chasing a problem on a friends Toyota, and this was not the answer! It suddenly started reading hot when I knew that it wasn't, so naturally suspected the coolant temperature sending unit. I've decent luck with this brand in the past, so I ordered and installed it. Instead of the car showing full hot at 190 degrees, this made it show full hot at about 140! The resistance of this thermistor is not even close to the OEM one, which is probably fine. Now that I've wasted a few hours testing this piece of junk, I can move on to find the real problem! Don't even bother with this, buy the OE one from the dealer.

Fit my 1986 22rte perfectly, but I went with a mechanical gauge for accuracy. My temp gauge in the cluster turned out to be faulty.
