good for sticks and leaves. Not sure what others were trying to fish out that they said the pole isnt strong enough but this net is exactly what i expected. It's not a $50 fishing net. It is strong enough to move the filter towards the edge so i don't have to completely get in the pond to remove it for cleaning. If you are trying to get out things like pine needs or really thin objects like this, it doesnt work quite as well. I did have to buy a large aquarium net for that but they each serve their own purpose.

This net is well made. I like that it has a metal frame, not plastic like a lot of them, holding the mesh material. This allows you to pick up more weight without the risk of breaking the frame. The mesh material is substantial and well seamed. With some care, it should last many years. The mesh has fairly big openings, so it is not good for picking up really small debris as it will just pass thru the holes. If you are trying to scoop up leaves, sticks and the sort, it works well. My only compliant is that the aluminum handle is a little on the short side for reaching across the width of my pond. Would have given it 5 stars if the handle had been another 12 inches longer. I actually made a 14 inch extension for it out of a piece of hardwood I had in my scrap bin. Now it is the perfect length for my needs.

Great net and gets the job done. I use it for getting leaves and debris out of our pond year round. The handle is a little shorter than I wanted and the end has no handle nor and end cap, just an open ended rod. Looks like it’s an attachment piece to a handle.

It does what it's supposed to do. One will skim your pond of leaves and debris. The other will catch your fish. It will not (or is it designed to) lift up 20 pounds of rock and gravel.

The handle is nice and long to reach the back side of my pond. The net is well made and deep enough to hold a good amount of leaves I scooped off the bottom of the pond. I would recommend!

We are happy with this purchase so far. This is replacing an old pond net with mesh that finally deteriorated beyond repair. The diameter of the holes in the new net are approximately 1/8". The old net had a finer mesh so time will tell if the larger holes are able to pick up smaller debris. The stated handle length of 41" is correct, and the handle is 1/2" in diameter. The widest part of the opening is about 12", and the height of the opening in the middle is about 9". The depth of the net is around 11".
