Fairly easy to install with minimal tools and mechanical experience. Looks really good because it folds up out of the way, it seems very sturdy I stepped up on it and at 190 lbs held me with no problem.

I got this for my spouse, who is 5'2" and we've always had to have as small step behind the seat in the truck, one of those small foldable ones, for us to climb up into the truck bed. It's only rated for 150 lbs though and those days are long gone for both of us. This one is terrific, it folds up right underneath so you're not going to hit yourself on it walking around the truck, but it easily swings down and out right when you need it. Go online and watch the installation videos on youtube, they will totally help with that. It's not easy to install and may require a special wrench to get up in there where the bolt needs to be loosened and then tightened. Also, sometimes it must have come without the step already attached, his came with the step on it, and he had to remove the step in order to install it under the truck, and then put the step back on. Again, the youtube videos are a lifesave. But once you have it installed, you will love it.

I installed it and works great much cheaper then the dealer one. I would recommend wearing gloves just in case the wrench slips and you hit your knuckles as I need. I used it often it’s makes so much easier to get in and out of the truck since I am 270 lbs and 55 and I am starting to ache every where.

Do not buy!I had this for a year, and it snapped causing me to fracture my rib. I’m small and don’t weigh a lot. I’ve been in immense pain, and deeply regret buying a cheaper step that had breakable plastic parts within it. Don’t make the same mistake as me, and end up with a broken rib.

Be careful not to pinch your fingers in the spring mechanism while installing it. Happened to both my helper and myself. Otherwise great product. Instructions include torque specs which is great.

Works good, hope the spring lasts to hold the step in the up position.Careful you don’t cross thread the bolts. Drill out or file one of the spacer holes or you’re not going to be able to bolt together.Put it up in two pieces.
