I like the nice quality of the rod. I used it to replace two Honda mower bolts that fasten the carburetor and several other items to the engine, (by installing 2 studs where the 2 bolts were located). This is the way Honda should have built them.

I purchased two of these to help with the absurd gasket-stacking layout Honda chose for their GCV160-powered mowers. I cut the rod in half and re-finished the edges so I could thread both rods into my GCV160 engine block, then start the painstaking process of gasket, part, gasket, part, gasket part to make the 6-gasket "hamburger" Honda expects before pulling one side and installing the OEM bolts in their place. Well, needless to say, buying this threaded rod is a heck of a lot cheaper than some of the kits online to help you with the same process. I know they'll last after leaving them outside accidentally for a couple of weeks, not a sign of rust. Not bad for the humidity of summer. Very happy with my purchase.

Yep. Cut them to length and screwed on the nuts. Replacing carb bolts in theHonda lawn mower. Quality parts.

The threaded rod is well made. Nuts thread the whole way through without catching, no burrs or defects of any kind. I needed to cut one down and round off the end, and I had no issues with that. Rod is made of T304, just like advertised, and I've had no corrosion.
