Over the years I have tried many different ways to spread glue on woodworking projects before clamping them up. This is the best. This acts like a notched trowel for spreading mortar when laying tiles: the 1/4" x 28 thread lets you spread exactly the right amount of glue on both surfaces, with no puddles and no areas that are too thin. And because it is stainless steel, you can hose the glue off the rod quickly and easily before it dries. This rod make quick work of spreading glue on both small, narrow jobs, as well as wide, long boards.

Got this so I could cut custom sized pieces to hold archery stabilizer weights on a target compound bow. Used an angle grinder to cut and round off the edges. Worked great for me. Just make sure you select the proper thread of course!

only complaint is both ends had very poor cuts resulting in smashed ends, both of which had to be chased. works great otherwise

Good quality machining, no rough edges, no swarf or muck, screwed nicely into 3/8' 16 collet holder taper for the drawbar which I will make.
