I run my PRS guitar into a Fender mustang micro plus into these speakers and now I don't need an amp. Just kidding but I really don't NEED one this little set up sounds so good for 200 bucks. My glowing tubes sound better, well different. My strat sounds different than my PRS too, do I need both? Yep. Do I need an amp and these monitors? For the money...definately. Look great too.Pink Floyd from my computer feels like I'm at a concert. Maybe a bit too much high's but...there's an adjustment on the system, bass too! No brainer if you need monitors.
