I’m not sure how they can market this as a 12 channel mixer. It’s got four mono channels and two stereo channels. I suppose the two stereo channels with four inputs total could bring it up to an eight channel mixer but even that’s a stretch.Maybe the alternate three and four outs figure into it someway, but that does not increase the inputs. Maybe the 2 auxiliary inputs for effects and monitoring are considered channels?? ... so the way I see it, it’s eight total inputs on 6 channel faders. This being said, I think it is a quality unit with a good sound.... and for most applications maybe eight is enough.

During this pandemic, I need to help our church to do live boardcasting. This inexpensive mixer with usb connector help to do the job easy and simple. If you are not require very good quality of sound otherwise, you need to upgrade to high model of the mixer. For the price that I got from is good value.

This is a good mixer for smaller bands needing only a few mike inputs. Everything works as it should and the overall sound is natural. The line output is a little on the low side for typical control settings, but not enough to be a problem in most cases. The unit is surprisingly heavy for its size, which suggests better than average construction.The one real negative is the manual, which is not well-written. Descriptions are often confusing and in some cases, at odds with how the unit actually operates. I ended doing quite a bit of experimentation to figure out how to make features work.

Could not get the alternate audio output ports to work at all. All microphones tested with this device were barely audible with phantom power turned on and all input sliders maxed out and all output sliders maxed out. Attempting to use the compressor adjustment knob resulted in highly distorted audio like you'd get when red-lining your mics. Attempting to increase volume further by turning knobs for the equalizers past their half-way point also resulted in distorted audio. In fact, they distorted audio regardless of the gain level sliders on input or output. The only mic we tested which had clearly audible audio was the Blue Yeti Pro, which has an independent gain knob. With that knob turned up near max, the sound level was normal (even when powered only on phantom power like the other mics), but the audio was even more distorted than the other mics we tested. We swapped out the mixer with a Pyle Pro mixer and all mics worked perfectly fine with no distortions and proper audio output levels.

I've been using this mixer for a couple weeks for band practices. It would seem that it has a lot more features on it than most of the other mixers in its price-rage; sliders for the main channel volumes instead of "rotary controls" (Knobs. They're knobs.), gain control, panning, channel mutes, phantom power, wireless microphone capability, and a USB output to plug it into a computer should you want.Something that always bothers me is the way that channels are advertised. This is marketed as a "12-channel mixer" but it only has 4 XLR/Quarter-Inch channels, and the rest of them are much more uncommon/less practical inputs for which someone buying a mixer in this price range probably wouldn't have that much use. Or maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about.Something that I want to note: The level-lights on the master volume don't light up for me. I'm not sure if that's a malfunction in my mixer, or if they only light up when plugged into a computer - I haven't used it for recording yet.Either way, I've been very happy with this purchase so far.

I was able to exchange the Q1204 for the QX1204 with effects. I needed the effects for karaoke. But both mixers made my system sound amazing. The sound is so crisp and clear. I ended up buying Behringer mic's too and my equipment sounds the best it has ever sounded. I highly recommend the Behringer mixers and microphones.

What a great little mixer! The sound is great for live venues! If you play live, the compression feature is seemless and definitely helps float the vocals on top of the mix. All in all a great mixer!
