I was able to fix my sony 5 CD disc player, but then it ended up breaking in another way a few months later. Now I am using an old portable CD player because all of the reviews for new ONKYO and Pioneer cd players state that they only last a year and do not perform well.

We learned what the CD player problem was from watching YouTube. We were able to get the parts here. The player was over 20 years old and hooked up to a lot of speakers. We do have other audio etc. but like having the ability to play the cd's as well. Thank You!

I bought the belt kit for a Sony CDP-CE545 in September of 2023. The rotary belt felt very tight going on and resulted in the carousel stuttering during its low-speed movement. The belt cross section seems larger also. I stretched the belt by hand and it freed up the motion some, but it's still not as smooth as it was, and I'm concerned that it'll cause a problem long term. Just bought two other large belt assortments hoping one of them has a suitable size in it.

Thought I would try this before throwing out the old cd player. Pretty simple fix if you Google the repair. Have a lot of old music we listen to again.
