This is a really interesting way to color match! I love that it’s analog and easy to use. It’s also made well and sturdy. It looks nice sitting on my desk as well.

So, the thing about this that isn't helpful is that just putting paint on the end of it won't always work, because the end is brown wood. That will change the color represented, depending on what medium you are using. In the example shown, there's a piece of paper balanced on the wood, which is rather ridiculous, if you ask me. Just having a bit of metal there, or something enameled white, or something else white would have been much better. I ordered this without taking the time to look at it closely, and that's my fault. I think this can be fussed with to make it work, but I'm sure there are better ones out there.
