This mounting kit was used to hang a macramé swing chair from an exposed rafter in our den. Not only do I have complete and utter confidence that it will hold much more weight than we should ever need it to, but it makes the swing perform smoothly and erases all concerns about winding up in the floor and searching for the remains of one’s grace and dignity. No danger of such an event with this reliable design made of indestructible materials! I scoured Amazon for what felt like hours, learning more than I ever wanted to know about mounting hardware. Save yourself the time & trouble and go ahead and order this model from this company.. it moves quite smoothly, and you can have confidence that it will hold up what you love most… YOURSELF! – Just kidding – rather, it will delight your husband, children, pets, yada yada yada, L O L.P. S. This mounting hardware is much more delightful when used in conjunction with a macramé swing and cushion. By itself, I’m afraid it would provide a rather disappointing- & potentially painful evening- of swinging from naked chain Tarzan style. Hehe

I have had a Cocoon chair for years with no great place to hang it. I decided to hang it indoors from the ceiling of our kids' playroom. The ceiling is angled, so I wanted hardware that would accommodate an angle. This one had good ratings and looked like what I needed. The package was heavy; everything seems super sturdy. Using a stud finder, I was able to easily find a joist to hang it from. The joists in that room are 8 or 10 inches, I believe. I drilled a pilot hole (i don't recall what size exactly) and then used a screwdriver to twist the whole thing in. The trickiest part is if you need to remove the U-shaped hook. It's easy to remove, but it has two nylon washers that are difficult to get into place when inserting the pin. Anyway, the thing has been rock solid and has easily held myself and my three kids (probably close to 300 lbs) without issue. I would definitely consider buying this again should I need another.

Very durable, not cheaply made. A great price too. The length of the chain is perfect, you can hang it from high ceiling and still not too short.

We used the bracket and chain to hang a macrame swing from the ceiling of a front porch! Very sturdy and easy to install!

Pretty easy to use as long as you have the tools. (Sockets) might still need other tools such as a drill to dill a pilot hole. (I still struggled to install as I am new to handy work.) but as learned. With pilot holes and a socket wrench they install great! They are super sturdy and great quality metal. And hold in a joist to hold a fully grown person in a hanging chair! (I did end up shortening the chains for perfect use, but you can hook to any link in the chain to determine length without issue just some extra hanging chain).

Great product, tested with me and two kids 125kg in total no problem what so ever. Recommend drilling pilot hole for easier installation.
