The clip holds the hose in the hole while pumping fluid. The is one of the worst jobs laying under a car, and trying to pump fluid into a transfer case or differential. Easy to tip things over and make a mess. Be careful with the clip, I seen them go too far in and one of the sides break off and fo into whatever your filling.

Does not screw on Motorcraft Mercon bottles, was still able to pump it out pretty fast, it does function well and is easy to use. Quality is good for the money. It did fit on SuperTech gear oil bottle but didn’t feel like it was supposed to

It fits Redline bottle but not by screwing, the pump body itself fit snugly into the neck of the bottle, creates tight seal. Zip tie the black tip or it will leak, but you don't need it, I threw it away!

Did a transmission flush with this on my car. At the tip of what goes in the transmission was leaking after every pump and wasted my transmission fluid and made a huge mess. It worked but a lot of leaking.
