I'm pleased with these riding pants. I ordered a blue pair in medium, and they are comfortable except for the waist line, which runs large. I wear a belt with them, which pulls in the large waist band.This review is about the black pair that I ordered in small. The fit much better, and I'm not feeling a need to always pull them up. They are shorter than the mediums. But since I wear steel-toed tight ankle boots for feeding the horses, and cleaning the to saddle then up, and then I wear tall riding boots to ride, so the shorter length doesn't bother me. I have semi long legs with a 34 " inseam.The weather hasn't gotten too cold yet, so these have been warm enough for being outdoors in. I even helped feed the horses in 34* F the other day, in a drizzly rain, and these were warm enough.I haven't worn them in cold winter yet, as I've just started riding lessons this spring.I'm pleased with these pants for the money.

Comfy fits true to size. Good for indoor riding. Doesn't block wind very well. But can be good for base layer.

They did keep me warmer than regular britches and the fit was fine ( a little long but I’m 5 feet tall and most pants are long ) the material even the knee patches was slippery.

Look nice, work well, but I wouldn't call them winter breeches - they're pretty thin.
