I wanted a nice ESD mat for my soldering / re-work station and picked this one. The dimensions fit my desk with about an inch of overhang. I used a piece of wood and a hobby knife to cut the material for a perfect fit.The darker blue material is awesome. It has a nice texture to it and items don't slide around unless you want them to. It comes installed with a nice long grounding cable and button on the mat to accept the included 2 port banana plug connector. Also included is one of the nicer wrist straps with coiled cable. I use a silicone mat over this for heating ranging in temps between 100c-500c and Ive found I still need to be careful in regards to how much heat this mat is getting. I'll probably put an insulating layer in between the Bertech and my silicone mat. In no way was I expecting this mat to be extreme high heat because it's not, but I know others out there use high heat for rework.Overall I'm really happy and would recommend this mat to others if they were looking for one.

Got a new desk and went looking for the classic blue ESD mat. Seeing that they had gray, I thought I'd try that. I photograph my work sometimes and the classic blue can screw up the color balance pretty bad. I'm happy to report that the gray is nice and neutral. The mat is, of course, Bertech's usual high quality through and through. Even though it's pretty robust, I throw an ESD safe silicone work mat on top when I'm soldering and a self healing mat if I'm cutting to avoid any potential scorching and scratching. It just looks too nice to risk it.

Very nice mat indeed. I ordered the 2'x5' version. When I took it out of the package I was expecting a rubbery smell, but nope, none what so ever. When I rolled it out on my workshop desk it went completely flat, no curling. The bottom surface holds firm with no slipping, 2 of the sides have a place to plug in the wrist strap, the grounding wire is plenty long. Guessing around 15 feet. Plenty of length on the wrist strap cable as well. Wrist strap is easy to adjust and very comfortable. The top surface is easy to clean and grips pretty well too. Mat works perfect for my needs and I would absolutely recommend and buy another.

The electronics I assemble are not extremely sensitive so I haven't checked the actual specs but the rubber backing provides the cushioning I need to protect projects. Seems quite tough and durable and the connections are positive.

Exactly as advertised. Well constructed. Cables were more than adequate length. I use it to protect my electronics project during soldering and to protect my table. I would definitely purchase it again.

Needed an ESD mat for my home lab. Very easy to cut. I used a utility knife to trim off 7 inches lengthwise. With an DVM, I measured about 1.5Mohm across the two metal snap on terminals.

Did not see reviews or photos of the gray and its texture. And so, I was almost tempted to go with the blue. Well, the gray arrived today -- 2.5' x 5' and fits nicely on my autonomous ai desk! Nothing much to say. Feels and looks good. I would recommend. Hopefully the photos does it justice.
