These safety eyes look great in stuffed toys: the colors show up really well. They are brighter than traditional eyes, because the colors are embedded via an engraved surface on the back of the eye; they reflect better than traditional eyes where you place a colored disk behind a clear eye piece. The safety snaps are also easier to use than most others I’ve encountered. Not too stiff or aggravating to close, but snap securely in place. I like the variety of colors and sizes, although I wish there were more of the larger sizes. Good quality and a good value for the price: I will be buying these again.

I looked a long time to find eyes like this, a lot of the others you can buy are a little too without depth. These are super cute and I like the colors and sizes. Will be buying again!

A few were missing the color backing but I will be able to use them in future projects.The ones I did use made my creations very special.The yellow color and the blue made the heads stand out more.

These safety eyes where all perfectly shaped and no chips or nicks in the eye portions. The colors were beautiful and had the right amount of sparkle for the projects I was using them for. Easy to install and loved the sized offered in the bundle.

Let me start by saying there is no shortage of this type of eye on Amazon. I probably looked at 100 different listings; some have more sizes, more pieces, more colors some had less colors but more of the smaller size, some had less of everything, not assembled, etc. I narrowed it down simply by what color I wanted to use in my current project, which ones I would be likely to use in my next and then I didn’t know what else to do so I picked these because of how highly they were rated in the crafts section and doll making section I think they were number four in yarn or crafts, anyway. Are these the absolute best option? I have no idea. What I do know is I was not disappointed. I love that they came in an organized box, there were three sizes 12 mm, 16mm and 24 mm, and the backs came in three bags organized in the different sizes. Nothing was broken or missing. There are 5 colors (blue, green, pink, gold and orange) and an equal amount of each color in each size. There are only two big ones of each color but that is still 10 large eyes. The 24mm ones are the only ones that came with a plastic film over them to protect from scratches. I didn’t notice any scratches on any of the smaller sizes. The eyes are clear and the color is visible around the edges. They were easy to snap on and secure to my project. A very few of them had the color disk fall off (there’s nothing securing it to the eye yet) but it’s easy to put back on and some had a slight imperfection at the edge from manufacturing. It wasn’t a burr that stuck out but it’s definitely discolored and it wasn’t on all of them. I don’t particularly mind, the yarn comes up and would cover that part up but if these are being used with something that wouldn’t cover it then keep that in mind. The container is nice little bonus for storage but if you don’t put the eyes back in the right way it won’t close. Also make sure it’s right side up before you open it, I thought it was and was mystified when they all spilled out at me 🙄 There are no size indications on the box or the bags other than the obvious visual size difference so I took a sharpie and wrote the sizes on the top of the box. Simple fix. I kept all the backs in their bags for now. I would buy these again because I know what I’m getting and it’s definitely worth it but I might also try one of the other 400 listings and see what happens. For now, I have enough eyes for my foreseeable projects and am looking forward to using these again. I included a picture of the 16 mm blue eyes I used

I was looking for the perfect big brown eyes for the crocheted basset hound I'm making, and these totally fit the bill. Perhaps I'll post a picture when the project is done!

This is exactly what I was looking for. I haven’t used them yet, but they look nice. Some of the colors are detached from the back of the eye, but I believe this will be easily resolved when the eye is attached.
