Putting together my first AR and this kit worked well to set & extract pins. The smaller steel pins helped with the buffer tube pin, the thicker pins i used to set the painful extractor spring for the front take down to compress the spring before inserting the takedown pin, also helped set the trigger control group before inserting the pin. The block was upgraded and was useful to hold items with the built in magnet & multiple cups. Well worth the money and good quality for my needs.

This I a nice set for working on pistols and AR's. Small enough to carry. But enough punches for the work I need it for. I would recommend.

BESTNULE Punch Set is a great value for most of your gunsmithing needs at home. I really like the easy on and off hammer "heads" that give you different options for what you are doing. The rubber and hard plastic heads work great to not mar the metal on your items. The steel on the punches get the job done. I don't really have anything bad to say about the set.I am not sure what the 1-star reviewers were doing when they complain about the metal punches "mushrooming" when they hit the punch......most things that I work on only require minor taps. If you have to hit the punch super hard - I wonder why???

Kit arrived promptly, and was exactly as advertised. Unlike a lot of tool kits I've had over the years, the latches on the blow molded case actually latch well. The tools themselves aren't industrial grade, but more than enough for hobby work. But I certainly did not expect industrial grade at this price. Just take some care when using the fine punches, they'll bend easily. This isn't grade 8 stuff! But more than meets my needs.
