This little machine is a work horse!! It has totally changed the look and cleanliness of our pool. We have a lot of oak trees and palm trees around the pool so we ALWAYS had a layer of something on the top of our pool. Whether it was a layer of pollen from the palm trees or leaves from the oak trees, our pool always had stuff on the top. Whenever we wanted to swim, I would have to first pull out my pool skimmer and skim the entire top of the water.However, now that we have this little guy, I NEVER have to skim the top of our pool and it always looks beautiful! I mean honestly, I think this is the best purchase I've made on Amazon. Our pool always looks clean now. I wish I had known about this product years ago. It really does make a huge difference in how our pool looks. And, this guy never stops! He is always working! I've owned my own business for the past 20+ years and I've had a lot of employees over the years. When I go out back and watch this guy working, I think to myself: " This is the best employee I've ever had!" lol. I mean, you buy it once and you're done. No additional payroll, no payroll taxes, he's not calling in sick or just not showing up, and he NEVER complains, lol.Now of course since it's solar operated there are days where it won't work. But those days are few and far between as we live in Southern California. But even on cloudy days it still works great as it doesn't require full sun to get charged. It just runs and runs almost 24/7. The durability is amazing. I've had this since August, 2023 and it still runs the same as it did the day that we got it.If you have a pool you NEED this product! It will keep the top of your pool free of leaves, dust, dirt, pollen, etc. It feels so much nicer jumping into a pool with a PERFECTLY spotless top layer, rather than having to first skim it and hope I got everything. If you want to look at and swim in a clean pool, you really should buy this wonderful machine.****Update**** It's now 9/25/2024 and my Betta is still running as strong as it was the day I received it! I'm still super happy with this purchase and I am constantly recommending it to all of my friends & family who have pools. The only critique I've had is that sometimes it would get stuck in the skimmer when my pool filter was running. I noticed that they are now including an "anti-stuck foam noodle" to fix this issue. So, I called the company and spoke with Hector. I told him about my issue and he said he would be shipping out the anti-stuck foam noodle in today's mail. Wow, in addition to a GREAT product, they also have GREAT customer service! This is still, by far, one of if not THE best purchase I've made on Amazon.

I'm in month 8 and have been rather impressed with this skimmer. It is effective in picking up floating leaves and insects to keep your pool clean. In previous years, I had Skimbot and Ariel... both were fine but had to be replaced within 6 months. They did warranty them but they all quit completely within a year's run. So far I'm rather pleased with Betta and believe its quality is stronger than the others that I've used.Compared to the other ones I've used, the key differences are game changers.1.) The filter basket is top-loading and deeper than the others I have used. It helps trap more and larger leaves, and there isn't a backflow of debris when it starts to fill up.2.) The paddle mechanism is built into the removable basket. I like this because my previous failures all happened in the paddle motor and mechanism - often seizing up due to debris and eventually failing. The Betta design has the motor and mechanism high on the device and removable to be cleaned.3.) The Betta is quieter and gets hung up less on pool accessories. Although it is not 100% effective for me, there is a stand-off on Betta that helps it get off of things like partially submersible chairs. However, it's partially effective, which is better than anything else that I've had.4.). The Betta has a better price point.Some other devices may have remote control functionality to steer (handheld or app/bluetooth driven) the device. The Betta lacks this functionality, but I don't feel it's much of loss. For me, I just want the device to work and be dependable.I run my skimmer all day and all year, so it's already seen below-freezing and 110F air temperatures in the 8 months. I'll try to update in the future.

Betta, where have you been all of my life? This has been one of my best Amazon purchases ever. It has saved me from having to skim my pool with a skimmer net multiple times a day and my pool has never been so clean. Betta works so much more effectively to scoop up the smallest bits of debris that usually go right through my skimmer net. Also, since it runs day and night, there's hardly anything sinking to the bottom of the pool. I used to have to vacuum the bottom of my pool every day, but since I got Betta, even after a week there really isn't a need to vacuum. It has worked perfectly since I put it in my pool 2 months ago, and I don't know how I could live without it now. I got the 3 year extended warranty just in case something happens, but I've had no trouble up to this point. The only time I remove it from the pool is when we're swimming or when I need to clean out the basket. Cleaning out the basket is very simple, it just needs a light spray with a garden hose. I generally clean it out once a day but I could probably do this every 2 or 3 days. I love that it runs on solar power so no need to plug it in to charge a battery. Now that the days are getting shorter, I do find that the flashing green lights are usually flashing red in the morning and while the red lights are flashing, it moves a bit slower until the sun comes up and charges it to green light full power once again. It might seem a bit expensive, but for the amount of time I have saved cleaning my pool, it's worth so much more to me than what I paid for it. I could not be happier with this purchase. I only wish I'd bought it sooner.

I had this pool skimmer for a year now. Works great. As soon as the sun hits it in the morning it starts up and continues well after the sun has gone down.I've tried other brands, but this works the best.

This product should be available to buy all over Europe and the uk but Amazon got it to me from the USA .Excellent machine .It runs all day from the solar panels and at night from the batteries charged during sunlight.
