They don't show it in the product photos and 2 of the 3 people who answer my question said that the locking ball is not included. Kit has every piece you could need, including 2 of the locking balls. Included a picture of the small parts bag.

Save the day after I crack the plastic on my headphones and I actually think that’s a stronger plastic it originally shipped with, so good on to whoever made this product

$30 for a plastic REPLACMENT part is awfulno instructions (though it is mostly self explanatory) and no tool to use for the screwsthe fact that this is the only part of these fantastic headphones that is prone to breaking and you have to pay for a expensive replacement is pretty lame.you may want to consider buying from a third party.

The $30 pieces of plastic I bought came with scuff marks all over it. No instruction booklet at all. When I went to screw in the things I realized it's a Torx screw, which requires a special type of screwdriver.The main reason I bought these headphones was the esteemed repairability, quality, and sturdiness. However, it's disheartening to say that the company seems to barley support these aspects.These parts ARE very overpriced in exchange for "legitimacy", but to charge SO much AND not bother with basic instructions or a cheap Torx screwdriver to help customers that even the worst products from China provide?.... It's all just kind of insulting.

I’m happy that Beyerdynamics offers parts for their headphones to repair/replace; I personally don’t have much experience with other brands that do so it was a nice change of pace. The materials matched the original parts of the headphones, and installation was a breeze.But for what you pay for what you get, I don’t believe it’s worth that much; I paid $30 dollars for small pieces of plastic, what if instead it was alloy or metal? What if the cost was less?

Exactly what I needed. Shipped in a Beyerdynamic bag straight from the manufacturer. I was expecting something offbrand for some reason. Installation was dead simple and straightforward. My DT990 pros are like new now.

So one side of the headset broke where the earmuff slides. I replaced them both so both sides are new and works/ fits like the original.

I somehow managed to shatter the old sliders on my DT770 pro's and these were a perfect replacement. It took me 15 minutes and the headphones feel much stiffer (in a good way.) Not that I care but they also have the updated Beyerdynamic logo, which is nice. It remains to be seen if they can last the year and a half (hopefully longer) that the other pair did, but it's nice to see replacement parts for expensive headphones like these.

It was a lifesaver for my headset, wouldn't have to rebuy another one now! fixing the sliders was pretty easy
