Cutting and ironing is tedious when making double fold bias tape by yourself. In large projects, if you need to make double fold bias tape by yourself, it is a lot of work and even difficult to complete.
This roll of extra-long bias tape in the right width will let you say goodbye to tedious cutting and ironing so you can focus on your sewing projects.
The tape has even width and a small gap between the two folding fabric edges for easy sewing. Whether sewing straight or curved, this tape will do it all. The inherent flexibility enables it to go around curves like a pro and yields a pucker-free look.
Compared to single fold bias tapes, the double-fold ones give extra protection and are easier to work with when it comes to sewing, seaming, binding, hemming, pipping, or decorating.
This double fold bias tape is widely used. It can be used for seaming to add a pop of color, adding contrast colors to clothes. Use it to accentuate quilts and blankets. Use it to create button loops and drawstrings. Add piping cord inside the tape makes piping trim for pillowcases or other fabric ornaments. Love this! 100% polyester, but you can see the woven pattern. Was cut on the bias direction, and has a bit of stretch to go around corners. Not a lot of stretch like t-shirt material. Love the wine red color, not bright red. Kind of deep red, more neutral. Heft is reasonable and not too thin. Similar to Dritz 3 yd packs. 55 yards is much more than I need for immediate projects, but a good stockpile to use over the years. Can be good if you are making bulk binding projects (ex., quilts, shopping bags with bound edges). I used to buy 3-yard Dritz for $3, which is $5 now in Dec 2023. Anyway a good value for money, if you are going to use more than 9 yeards.

I absolutely loved the price and then found out why. In the middle of the huge roll of great bias tape, they joined one section together wrong. A bit annoying bc now i have to cut and join back together myself. Would have been 5 stars if it wasnt for this glaring flaw. Whoever did it knew to hide it in the middle. No way this was done by accident.

I purchased two to make sash-in-a-dash for a quilt as you go project. One probably would have been enough. The quilt is even queen sized. It is true to the color shown. I will purchase more in other colors in the future. Very pleased with not just the quantity for the price but the quality as well.

As you unroll the length you need, I found the double fold opening up. Having to iron it before use defeats the entire purpose of buying bias tape. Good price. Good quality material.
