These are not cowbells, but more of cracking noise. But I like them. They are not metal, so you're hitting hard plastic.

These are what I wanted, keeping in mind what I want is a matter of personal taste. Although they are small, so might not be big enough or loud enough for some peoples' preferences, I did not want a big & super loud set. They are loud enough, but not too loud, and I'm happy with the tone. I like them

Man, what a value. They attach to the high hat WITHOUT causing a weigh down problem that would slop up the screw. Excellent decision. I suggest giving them a shot. Pretty load too. Very fun.

These are most definitely not cowbells. They sound like wood blocks, which is fine if that’s the sound you’re looking for. Definitely not cowbells.

I feel little better after I combined these toys with some cowbells. I still wish they were a little bigger so you could hit them with both sticks at the same time and they would have had a deaper sound to them.In summary you get what you pay for...
