I got this as birthday gift for family member. And, thus, I could also enjoy the output, food! And, Here are pros and cons if you are considering to buyPros1) for beginner, not easy to fire inside of such small metal box2) you should buy special wood or, it would not work. Need to spend more money3) sadly, the special/small wood does not get fire easily and we ended up using charcoal (double work)4) disaster if your pizza dough stuck on the stone plate. whole thing will get burnt5) someone who cooks CANNOT do anything else once you put the rough inside the metal container. Must keep eye on.. it burn quickly and cook unevenly otherwisecons1) with such higher temperature than other oven, taste is very fresh and crispy crust2) family fun and you can use your kids' little hand. they loves to make dough and watch how to cook3) handy and locate in anywhereoverall, I would buy and gift to someone else if there is a chance. Reading a lot of these reviews I was a bit worried this wouldn’t work well. Let me tell you, this thing is awesome and well worth the money! Yes you have to watch the pizza (literally cooks in 60 seconds). What do you expect when cooking at 650 degrees! Of course you should watch it. Works great if you rotate it after 20-30 seconds and leave the door open the last half. Awesome pizzas, plus it’s tons of fun for the whole family! I don’t fill the hopper up all the way. Typically just add pellets as needed to hold interior at temp. Again great pizzas! Highly recommend.

This oven was a gift for my little brother. He was able to put it together in probably 5 minutes. Assembly is a piece of cake. The materials look well-made and the oven looks professional as a whole.Note: does not come with wood pellets, fire starter, pizza pans, or anything to turn the pizza when you need to rotate it during the cooking process.Pizza takes maybe 30 seconds to cook fully with a couple of turns at 10 seconds each. Super easy to get pizza in and out and dispense more pellets. I’ll definitely buy a bigger version next time now that I know what I’m doing.

This pizza oven was so much fun to use as a family and we can’t wait to continue to cook pizzas in it. The size is perfect and easily fits on a table. Good look and easy to clean. The taste of the pizza was excellent. Holds heat well.

Edit: 4/2/24This actually does not fit a standard size pizza very well at all as its a little too big and it will get stuck to the sides or rear. I recommend opening the hopper lid when you stick the pizza in as well otherwise the top burns and the bottom doesn't fully cook. I found that opening the hopper and forcing the flames out of it will help evenly cook the pizza and then you can close it the last little bit if you want the top cooked a bit more. If you do not do this then you will have a doughy bottom and burnt toppings. I used the in-laws pizza oven to discover that this sized oven is not for me and I do not have the patience to deal with it and will be opting for a larger oven personally.I purchased this as a gift for my in-laws for their new lanai they had put in right before the Christmas. They had talked about wanting a pizza oven along with some other stuff for their new lanai. We all love pizza and I thought this would be a perfect gift for them. It is an awesome pizza oven, but it is smaller than I thought. This will work for a typical large pizza, but do not expect anything larger than that with this oven. I am not sure if this is just a standard size of pizza ovens like this or if this is just a smaller unit. I would personally want one that is a little larger so you could make a standard size large pizza and maybe some cheesy bread at the same time.

After having friends with an Ooni oven, I took a chance with the Bighorn to save a few dollars. To keep this short, lets just say that this thing has outperformed my friends' ovens and become one of my favourite things to use outdoors. Simple to use, makes amazing pizza fast, the wood fired taste and smell is astounding, and an amazingly SOLID Stainless steel build makes this a must have. I have taken this thing all over in travels and it folds up perfectly and never fails.As well ... the company has the most amazing customer service! I was stupid enough to be using this outside in a -30 Canadian winter, and left the unit outside overnight after I was done using it. Sadly, due to my own error of letting this go from several hundred degrees Fahrenheit to minus 30 degrees Celsius, the pizza stone cracked. I contacted the company and within two days they shipped me a new stone free of charge!I would highly recommend this unit to anyone who asks, and the company has gained my full support in all respects. Grad yourself this oven, along with a pizza peel, and a Digital thermometer and get started making the best pizzas you'll ever make. Just writing this review is making me hungry for another pizza out of this beauty! I'd pay money just to smell the pizzas coming out of the oven! There are people who convert to propane with this, but I'd stick with the pellets to get the full experience and flavour. A few trial runs or questions asked to someone who owns one (heck ... feel free to message me if you need to) and you'll be knocking pizzas right out of the park.DON'T HESITATE! GET THIS NOW! ... and no I havent been paid to say this... it is really that good.Cheers everyone and happy pizza making !

Bought this after reading all the great reviews. They’re all correct. Well built and arrived quickly. Box was damaged but due to the oven being well packaged no damage to the oven. Heats up super quick especially with the door on the front. The stone reaches 900F no problem. Have used it twice and learned a few things. Roll the dough nice and thin, thick dough tends to burn. Make the pizzas one at a time and get them into the oven as soon as it’s made or it welds itself to the peel, rotate the pizza every 10-15 seconds and it’s done in 60-90 seconds. You can’t walk away, have to stay on top of rotating the pizza. Get a laser thermometer to make sure the stone is super hot and ready. Keep an eye on the pellets they burn quick and once the hopper is empty the oven starts to cool quickly. Overall a lot of fun to use.
