I bought this to move my cassette and disc brakes over to new wheels. The chain whip worked fine, didn't have any issues removing my cassette. The bit was a little long, so it had a tendency to want to fall out as I maneuvered my wrench but nothing too difficult to manage. If you have the right socket size for the bolt it would be a non-issue. For the price, I'd recommend.

Solid tool. Doesn’t lie about what it does, and does it well.

At the outset, let me be clear, this is a good chain whip for the money. It's much better than the other options just below it in price. In fact, it's the cheapest chain whip on Amazon that I'd recommend.I've read other reviews and answers implying this can't be used on 11 speed cassette. Yes, this was likely originally made just before 11 speed came out and because of that, the chain is larger than the spacing of an 11 speed cassette. With all that said, this absolutely can be used on 11 speed cassettes. To do so, simply wrap the whip around your LARGEST cog. Absolutely never, under any circumstances, wrap this whip on ANY of your other cogs. This is of course how you're supposed to do so anyway, but so many people use whips on otherr cogs. For any whip on any cassette, you should always be using the largest cog. Also, the included cassette removal tool does in fact work with Shimano and SRAM. I verified that even though I just bought this for the whip.In sum, I don't consider this a whip that's going to last you the rest of your cycling days, but it should be more than adequate for several years. It's a very solid value and I have no problem recommending it.Cheers!

For one I will jump on board with everyone saying that this is a excellent chain whip definitely sturdy. To use it as intended with straight for work I believe will be a longevity tool in the Box but if you're moving side to side while applying pressure I'm sure you can wear out the pins in the shaft sooner than you want but you can always reset a pin with another set of Link I'm sure as well for the handle is a good handle. No the cassette tool on the other hand maybe a little bit lower grade metal but we'll work at least the first time if you've got a extra tight nut that won't break if you've got to put some strain on it it may dig into the teeth a little bit. but you should get about 20 good uses out of it before it looks like it'll starts stripping if you've got decent well-maintained bikes that come apart like mine. With all else said if someone's buying a chain whip I believe this should be a must because it's like a bonus you get the cassette tool with it 4 other chain whips are twice the price without the cassette tool and this is a good one as well. I want to take bike hand 4 a quick delivery and a great tool to help me get back on the road thank you.

Worked great to remove the cassette and Shimano freewheel from my Trek bike. The steel is stiff enough that I didn't need to worry about the nut stripping, and the chain whip is strong enough that I didn't worry about it snapping. Definitely not the highest quality tool on earth, the plastic grip is just cheap plastic, but if you're just trying to fix your own bike once in awhile and not fixing to open a bike repair shop, well worth the savings over a nicer one.

Logré hacer el cambio de piñón trasero y creo que podrÃa hacer un par de reparaciones más, creo que el ajuste dentro del seguro (tuerca) del piñón no es tan bueno, por lo que se recomienda trabajar con cuidado.
