I purchased this to replaced the aging, sub-baked odometer of the factory speedo on my 2003 H-D FXSTI. The main reason I chose this one being because the factory replacement is now obsolete and if you can find one will cost you approx $450. Aside from the low price, there are two primary issues at with the Bikers Choice replacement.#1- You cannot set the odometer reading. There are no details in the packaging, online from the manufacturer or from the community at large regarding how to set the odometer. In short, once you install it your mileage is at 0. That's fine if you're building a bike from scratch, but not when you have several 10's of thousands of miles on your bike. The DMV and potential buyer will want to know the miles you have on the vehicle. The 2003 factory odo is obsolete because it does not have the ability to use a data cable to transfer mileage info.#2- The speedo is inaccurate at high speed. Above 60mph, the needle wobbles significantly. In Arizona, the freeway speed limits are 65-75mph, so speeds in excess of 70mph are very common. At 75mph the wobble is enough to be a 3-5mph swing around the 75mph mark.Visually, it is very clean. The light is blueish instead of orange and the odo has 2 trip settings which is nice, (1 for service interval and 1 for tank-ups is nice to have). However, the odo itself only has 5 digits, not 6. So at 99,999 miles you're done. I would not recommend this an existing high m mileage or high speed bike.

Product did not work. I purchased in December never got to put it on my motorcycle until the end of January. When I tried to return it i was told it was past the return date.

As other reviews mention. Once above 50, the needle starts floating and the speed is higher than actual. Factory alarm resets every time your turn the ignition on and sweeps due to incompatibility. Diagnostics will no longer work Unit will give you okay speed lower than 50.

So far so go. No issues yet. Had too replace my original on my '97. Perfect fit and works great. Gotta give it time though.
