In this picture I am analyzing the antenna performance in LTE band 2 (popular with AT&T and TMobile in the US) and it is showing good performance. The antenna is decent. What isn't great is the cable and magnet. Any gain you get from the antenna is lost in the thin RG-174 cable. The same antenna with RG-58 cable would improve reception by another few decibels, but be more expensive. The magnet isn't very strong but it does come with double-stick pads. This is a great antenna if your modem isn't receiving because its inside a server rack or other metal box. I wouldn't put this antenna on a car, or use it where you have signal but are looking for higher gain.Update: when used for downloading data this antenna worked decent. However, for uploading data this antenna only achieved 5 mbps vs the stock modem antenna at 20 mbps. Probably good for voice/sms.

Tried to use it on model number IFWA-40 modem, but the signal was worse than having no antenna. It apparently is not compatible with this modem, so it was returned.

Got these to help with reception for my RTL SDR dongles. Much better reception with these than the stock rabbit ears that came with the dongles.magnet is a bit weak but overall these improved reception on 700/800mhz. .

I have a Netgear hotspot inside a camper van. Without the external antenna hooked up, I was getting 2 bars AT&T, sitting on the drive in my backyard. Connecting to the Bingfu 4G LTE external roof antenna, doubled the bars. Instantly.The connection to the roof antenna was made using Bingfu's 4G LTE Antenna Adapter, SMA Female to TS9 Connector Coaxial Pigtail Cable 20cm (8 inch). Don't hesitate to buy Bingfu products. They work.As for the long story as to why I bought the antenna in the first place: Washing solar panel on roof, broke the OEM ~4 inch WiFi and the 4g LTE antennas that were OEM with my Joinglo 8Ch. MDVR. Was very hesitant to purchase a different design but, the shorter, stubby, OEM antennas were just too fragile. Took the leap and bought both the CASIMY Bingfu 4g LTE and the WiFi antennas. Work great. They are taller but they are not subject to breakage by a wayward towel. Highly recommend.

I tried 6 different antennas that claimed to be 4G, ranging from 3dbi to 10dbi. Based on my testing their claimed dbi meant nothing at all. This antenna here performed the best out of any them and by a significant margin.The only thing I was was different is that it had a stronger magnet. These will not stick to your vehicle in the wind as you drive, so I keep them behind the headrests of the back seat most of the them. Then when parked if I need a good signal to do some work, then I stick them on top of the car. They do work considerably better outside the car than inside the car, but they do pretty well inside too.

Signal is a bit weaker with antennas.Not sure if an amplifier is needed but you get what you paid for. Not saying its a bad product but if it needs a booster or amplifier then it should be written on the website.

We are going to send these back.The magnet is not strong enough to hold antenna up in light wind and the signal gain is less than1 dbi as opposed to the 8.5 dbi as advertised.

I used this product in an area where I have 3 bars of service on my wireless home phone system. Once I swapped out the antennas, it actually decreased my service level to 1 bar. I also experimented & tried it in an area where the service level was only 1 bar & once installed service decreased so much, I had no service & was unable to use the phone. I have had one of these antennas from another supplier (forgot the name) & it worked great & improved the service levels. This one did not.

Piece of wire with a weak magnet.Buy a proper Wilson antenna.
