I wanted to get something a little bigger than our previous salad spinner because we like to cut up enough greens to last for 2-3 days, and it was a really tight squeeze to even get two days worth in the old one. I grabbed this hoping it would be large but not really sure how that would translate, and I am not disappointed! I haven't even come close to cutting enough lettuce at one time to fill this entire thing up, and it may be a while before I do.The design is okay, the actual bucket that everything sits in is a bit on the flimsy side, but it works well enough. Also, the lid is a little finicky to get locked into place just right on the bowl, but it is doable. The spinning mechanism is the gray piece on top that you hold and spin around with your hand, which I don't find quite as nice to use as the kind where you pump something up and down or pull the cord to make it spin, but it works well enough and you can get it spinning pretty fast!I think it's hilarious to think of someone using this to wash their clothes in....but I am guessing someone has done it and it was probably successful, so who am I to judge. We won't be using ours for laundry though.The whole thing is well packaged and feels 'nice' when you get it. Little details like the lid being taped on with tape that easily comes off and leaves no residue is a nice touch which is appreciated. Overall very happy with this and I expect to get lots of use out of it.
