This was so fun to use on pottery that had broken! It made the wares look so unique, and there's plenty of product in the kit for several repairs. I also love that it is food safe!

This kit is so well-assembled that I could almost give it 5 stars. The components are high quality and the instruction book is well-written. If your goal is to fix a decorative vase or similar, I believe that with practice you could produce something closely resembling actual Kintsugi. However, in spite of using the word "bio" repeatedly about the cashew-based epoxy, there is no food-safe certification seal on the epoxy. Online research indicates that while there are actual cashew-based epoxies, none are cleared as food-safe by the FDA. Furthermore, the 2-part epoxy putty for filling in missing chips/chunks has no ingredient labeling at all and is not even claimed to be food-safe. (An inquiry to the producer of the kit did not generate a response.) Buy it as a cool crafting product, but do not use it to repair your tea cups or plates or bowls.

I saw a few bad reviews and bought it anyway, glad I did because it worked very well. I was able to completely repair this one of a kind large bowl I got while traveling. I started right away with my bowl, but it might have been smarter to try on something disposable first, to get the technique down. Little tricks you learn along the way. For example - next time I would attach all of the smaller bits to larger bits first - trying to squeeze them in at the end was very hard. Also make sure you have sand paper on hand, it does not come in the kit but it was very helpful. I def recommend if you have a broken object you want to put back together. It takes some elbow grease and attention to detail, but the end result was worth it.

The kit is nice and easy to follow. I was done fixing my piece in 15-20 minutes. I had just come back from a trip to Japan and a ceramic plate I bought came back broken from the flight. Kitsugi to the rescue!

On my first attempt (see pic) I made the mistake of sanding the edges too smooth, resulting in the “gold vein†being too wide. It would have looked better if I’d left the edges more jagged. But I’m happy with the result and look forward to fixing more smashed china.

The instructions say "use the appropriate amount" of gold powder without measurement. The instructions also do not tell you to scrape away any excess. And then to apply the gold powder.I've never used kitsugi before, but some YouTube videos are clearer than this.

Product is as described and easy to use. Got it recently so can’t say about quality and durability but so far so good

the manual didn’t make enough of a point of actually filing away a groove along the sharp edge of each fragment so i had to go back with the included scraper tool to make one post filling so that there would be more gold showingso grind those sharp edges down just leave the middle flat texture of each broken edge intact to ensure tight gripit is also a little weird dealing with seams — i found in a teacup the tea would badly stain the crack if ti wasn’t sealed over with epoxy — yet we don’t want a hill of epoxy — tough decisionin the end i went back ofer the seams inside where liquids go and left them thick and wide and coated with goldalso bought gold leaf — you need the powder included to color the epoxy but gold leaf on top of the seam instead of the included gold imitation powder takes this from great to absolutely amazingnext time would probably buy cheaper flake since you need flakes not sheets — and probably even powder is betterall in all a fast easy ish way to do this — there can be a learning curve but the included tools fix all likely errorsrecommended

Achei que seria um kit de kintisugi. Mas é simplesmente uma cola tipo araldite que seca ultra rápido e não te dá tempo de trabalhar, um glitter dourado e um durepox .

Pretty straightforward to use. A little goes a long way. Not the cleanest lines, but can use the knife to tidy and some practice wouldn't hurt. Has held up really well in the dishwasher!
