The safe was VERY easy to install and fit perfectly between the studs in my wall! I LOVE IT! (Rather than patch a hole in the wall), I used a tapemeasure, marker, handsaw, and screwgun (the only power tool). I love that the safe has easy directions and 3 ways to open it: Code, key and fingerprints! The batteries are for the sensor and also light up both the numbers and the inside. The alarm is loud, but easy to turn off (or wait through) if you type in the wrong code several times. I HIGHLY recommend this safe for EVERYONE, especially parents with a teen who deserves privacy but must hand over the second key to ‘assure the teen is locking up only proper items’. I will be purchasing a second one for my daughter to store her money and other personal items in. I will also have the second key and will hopefully never use it. It will give her privacy and also reassure me she is learning accountability, trust and respect. ***This is not just a safe for young people. The long screws go into the studs and anyone not having a key will have a very difficult time breaking in, due to the very stable, secure way that it attaches directly to the wall studs.*** Great design. I installed this wall safe in less than an hour. You will need a stud finder and insure you have 16" spaced studs. That is a building standard... but if you have an older home, or plan to install the safe in a reinforced area of the home, it might not be a sure thing. Overall, the safe is of good quality and just what I expected.

Overall, I am pleased with the purchase. Needed something to secure my EDC and keep it out of reach of tiny hands. I did not have the space for a standalone safe, so this unit was perfect. Installed in my closet with zero footprint and no lost storage space. Install was simple, just be sure to follow directions on how big to cut your hole. Programming was easy and fast.

Do not follow the manual for measurements, they are grossly incorrect, measure the unit! Also run your manual through a proof reader as there are numerous typos giving the illusion your product is cheap

I was trying to find a wall safe with fingerprint and back up key. This had it all. It’s very sturdy and fits between studs. It is great for storage of larger items and small ones. It sits pretty flush so I can hang a picture over it to hide it.

This wall safe should be awesome, but it is potentially deadly.In general the safe is well made and quite heavy duty, and is pretty easy to install providing your studs are 16 inches on center. I asked about swapping the door around on this to make it easier to open near a corner, and was told that the door could not be reversed. So I looked into this myself and found that it can, and quite easily as the control panel is plastic and simple clips in place, so cool, I now have it the orientation I need.This is where things get bad. As mentioned the control panel is plastic and simply clips in place. Furthermore under the panel there is a large long opening in the steel case where the control panel sits in place (see photo) and from this opening one has easy access to the lock release mechanism. With a very simple tool, someone could get access to this safe in just a couple of seconds. THIS SAFE SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR ANY WEAPONS, LOADED OR NOT, NOR ANY VALUABLES.
