I was impressed with how sturdy and well crafted the mat was upon delivery. It came rolled up and when I unraveled it you could see it was quite substantial. I got it for my parakeets to chew on and they seem to enjoy it. No offensive smell just pleasant organic scent. I recommend it.

For my birds they had the end off in about a week so their was no way to hang back up
