This item was purchased for the children and parents' function. It was a hit. The parents spent quality time with their children. End products were good. Only difference, I would have included a wider brush with the kit because the area is large to paint. Very nice!

We used these for a kindergarten class party. There are 3 different styles of birdhouses included (5 of each set). The great part was that each birdhouse came in its own sealed bag with all the parts including their own paint, brush, 2 sticker sheets and a small tube of glue. On the flip side, there were no directions on how to put the birdhouses together, but it was pretty self explanatory on how to do that. However assembling them was not as easy as anticipated. Not all the parts fit perfectly, so you definitely needed adult help and possibly two sets of hands. The other issue was keeping the birdhouse intact. Glue was definitely needed, but some instruction on the best placement for the glue would have been helpful, we ended up putting some on each edge/connection point. That brings me to the glue included, it is a small tube and there is plug inside that needs to be removed before use, so kids will need help with that and to be honest as an adult it was also a little tricky to remove. Also, in some cases you may need more glue than provided. Again, it would have been helpful if their were just basic directions included, especially to let you know that you should put the string for hanging on first before assembling the birdhouse otherwise its quite difficult to get the string through for hanging once assembled. Once assembled they were easy to decorate/paint and we have had a few hung outside for a few days now, with no issues of them breaking or coming apart. Overall, it was good project for a group of 6 year olds.

Ordered it to give return gift for kids of around 5 -8 age. The kit was complete and delivered on time. I would recommend it highly for such purposes.

My troop needed to make an animal habitat, and these were perfect. They girls had so much fun decorating them with paint and stickers.

The instructions do not mention anything about gluing the houses together. They fall apart without glue. Just some guidance about where to place the glue, how to hold it firm till glue dries would be helpful. Also, there is very little paint. One tub of paint barely covered the front panel of one birdhouse. A little video would be great.

If you are using these for a birthday party make sure you assemble the bird houses before the party! It was such a mess trying to help fifteen 8â€10 year old kids build their houses lol but it was so much fun! The kids would have had more fun if they were already assembled because kids don't really follow directions after consuming a lot of sugar. I love the amount of bird houses you get for the price I paid! Great value! Ages 8-10 would be a good range for this project.

Our kids at church loved decorating these!! We (adults) assembled them & added glue to reinforce them. Older kids could probably handle assembling them fine. Not sure if they’re up to holding real birds… but they’re awfully cute! Love that they come with instructions, glue, paint, & stickers for each set — all packaged up!
