If you live in a household where there's lots of foot traffic or you have lots of rugs especially in a climate like the Pacific Northwest this is a must have. due to it being a commercial product it's very easy to maintain and if something breaks literally every part is replaceable. the most important thing is to clean it after every use

I have not had the opportunity to use the carpet cleaner yet. I will say this is the same machine I use to rent at Lowe’s. I will say this cleaner is an outstanding machine. I was so impressed with the machine and the results is the reason I purchased one to own. This machine will not let you down.

We have rented one of these for along time and love the finished product on our carpet so decided that we would just buy one.

I already owned a Bissell carpet cleaner. I wanted something more professional. This one is definitely larger, but I can't really tell any difference in the cleaning aspect. I tried it on some rugs that were somewhat dirty but didn't see an overwhelming difference in cleanliness. The water reservoir had very dirty water, but the rugs looked basically the same as before I cleaned them. I tried it on some older rugs that I had relegated to the garage. Again, it definitely had lots of dirt in the water receptacle, however, I just didn't have that "ahhh ha" moment where I felt it was worth the extra money.
