My kids used these for kinetic sand and in their sandbox multiple summers and they held up great in the sun and the water. The tools are metal and heavy duty, so they held up well. However, for smaller children, I would not recommend this set just in case the tools got dropped or thrown. Bright colors, super cute.

I enjoy working in the garden and it is all the more special when my two year old joins me.The tools are well made and perfect for her little hands.She has no interest in wearing the gloves which is not a surprise.

First thing I noticed, unfortunately, when opening the box was a dent in the water can. I popped it out as best I could, but still looked as it does above. I went to pick up the water can, and the red ring popped off in my hand. It was definitely disappointing. I will say, however, that the tools themselves seem to be good. The heads are made of metal, and the handles are made of hard plastic. I tested them to see if they were strongly connected, and didn't feel any give. Overall, I believe my child will absolutely love using these in our garden

Didn't realize the tools would be metal! I assumed they'd be plastic. Assuming they hold up well, that means my kiddo will be able to actually dig in the dirt pretty well.

this is great for what it is, i dont have to worry that little ones might be too rough with tools. only con is handle on rake was loose and eventually got pulled apart. quick fix and everyone is back to play or helping out in the garden. i had to go metal as we live in an area of hard clay or rocks is mostly what our backyard soil is.
