I had high hopes but yet another failed attempt at finding a product that works for me. The light is faint. I have not tried doing it in a pitch black room. That in itself would be a problem. It is awkward to use. The whole note doesn't fit under the light, maybe half of it. And then to see it I have to tilt the machine upward. I should have heeded the other reviewers.

It’s worth what I paid for it. But, the light is really really dull and has to be used in low low lighting

This equipment is the best for the price. I buy currencies from around the world and I need to guarantee their authenticity. The equipment did two things for me. It proved Banknote World is the best source and is a quality company. But the black light proved that my other purchases from coin shops etc., were also authentic.
