Build quality impressively rugged and heavy. The pictures don’t do justice, this is an incredibly s3xy power strip. I gave this a try because my home studio Mackie R8 monitors have always had a very low aggravating hum. I was very close to replacing them but no longer need to. They no longer have the buzzing plugged into this device. Saved me hundreds. Thank you. I’ll be picking up a Black Lion 19†rack next for other gear in the studio.

This is much more than a simple surge protector, it is a power conditioner. Although it suppresses EMI and RFI interference it is also a power conditioner for sensitive audio devices. It has completely taken the hiss out of my speakers, they are now completely silent. It is well made in a metal case and the cord on it is much longer than the 9 ft they talk about in the description. Mine is a little over 12 ft long. Excellent quality grounded plugs in a metal case from a brand well known in professional audio studios. Highly recommended.Had to log back in here to update my recommendation. After using the Black Lion Power Conditioner for several weeks now I must admit I'm very impressed! My speakers are now dead silent..no background hiss, no background hum..nothing...just total silence even at high levels. Once of the best additions to me system ever!

I ordered this because my amp was way noisy with my single coil guitar. I had tried plugging it into different outlets, I had even bought a noise gate because I thought maybe the wiring harness in the archtop I was playing was picking up signals, or that the pickups were just unpotted and crappy. I plugged my amp into this thing and flipped the switch -- dead silent. I plugged my single coil guitar in....virtually like a church on a Tuesday night. Nothing. No noise. I'm not sure why this item works so well, but it's a miracle.

I purchased this to replace a Furman unit that kept flipping the breaker after a couple years of use. I opened this Black Lion up and the components are much better than the Furman. Seems like a very good product.

Never had a power strip that has bad outlets......that is until now.I don't need the trouble when I am setting up for a show and plug in and my equipment doesn't power up!!!! What's wrong? Try another outlet, now it works!!!!!!! I don't know about about you but I don't need that kind of stress.How can you screw up a power strip?Not happy, can't return.Now its tripping my gfi. Into the garbage with this POS!

Before I got this my speakers had a really loud buzz in the background because I don't have very good power in my place. After I set this up buzzing was reduced about 95% it's barely audible now unless you put your ear to the speaker.
