It's not pretty. It isn't the strongest. Unless you're carrying a spare copy of The Declaration of Independence or the Magna Carta, this is will protect your documents or whatever you need safely. Would buy/gift again.

Got this to better protect a USCF roll up chess board to fit in the USCF bag. It works! Board rolls into it well and it prevents creasing so that the game unrolls flat every time. The locking mechanism sucks on this thing, but you can get used to it.

I bought this in anticipation of a trip to Cuba, knowing that I would be buying several paintings. I managed to roll up 6 paintings and pack them into this tube, and I brought it as a carry-on during the return trip and simply laid it horizontally in the overhead compartment; it was small enough that it didn't inhibit other bags from being secured there, too.If you extend it past the final notch, you can actually take it apart into two separate pieces. I suppose this is good for cleaning, if need be.

Flimsy, thin plastic but will do what I want it to do temporarily. Also is not waterproof. Will protect in light/medium rain but that's about it

I use this unit to transport poster size documents and it does it well. The size adjustment and locking feature are a real plus. It's lightweight and the strap makes it easy to carry.

Purchased this when I couldn't find the retractable sizes anywhere local. Used to roll up some drawings & pictures, with acid free tissue between for storage. Worked great.

It does the job it was supposed to do. It's pretty thin but the appearance with the red trim and the strap look nice. I needed it to be fully extended in length and the lock wouldn't latch on properly. It's really flimsy when fully extended. To fix this problem I just duct taped it with gorilla tape. I'm not going to send it back over this issue. ALSO I'd never trust this to be water proof. If I ever need another one I'd pay a little more and get something a bit stronger.

I find it absolutely ideal for carrying my rare 19th century illustrations safely and conveniently rolled up neatly and placed in the adjustable and very attractive tube. The shoulder strap makes it that much more convenient.
