The ink doesn’t scratch at all. Makes terrible broken lines with any tool. Might as well be black poster board.

I am very disappointed in this product and would like to return it. It must be old-- the lines are not smooth when scratched but appear dotted and if you scratch deeper the result is ugly papery lines. very unprofessional looking-- would not even have my students use it.

I've checked out a lot of different scratchboards, and this is the worst one I've come across yet. I use this stuff professionally and my work is full of crisp, clean lines. The ink comes up so grudgingly on this paper that you have to go over your marks repeatedly. What you are left with is a fuzzy line with no edge. There are other papers in this price range that have been around for decades and are of excellent quality. I would avoid this one for the simple fact that it will make you feel like a failure because it is totally unresponsive. Kind of like when you're a little kid and they give you inferior art supplies and you wonder why you can't seem to make anything. Quality tools and materials are worth searching out.

This paper has a wierd shine to it and does not scratch well at all. It is making it very hard for my students to get a good quality product. I am so dissappointed. Do not buy for anything other than elementary school.
