Remember that scene in Return of the Jedi where Luke Skywalker briefly uses a bone to prop open the rancor’s mouth until the rancor splinters it into a hundred pieces? Well I’m pretty sure someone tried something similar with this toilet plunger prior to it being delivered on my doorstep. It was annihilated. Even if it had been delivered in pristine condition, it is pretty cheaply made; thin metal and a flimsy plastic handle. I was going to return it and buy something else, but as luck would have it, I was forced to use this plunger before I could return it, and it actually does its job pretty well; the rubber plunger itself has decent power, and it doesn’t get stuck in the folded/plunged position after every plunge like larger ones tend to. In short, I decided to reshape the metal canister the best I could and kept it.

This looks nice but it’s junk. The handle above the lid snapped right off on the first test run.

I would love to give this product five stars. It's in my first floor bathroom now, looks great and works very well. However, when it arrived, the smell was intense. So intense, the smell overpowered an active two car garage. So I had to move this outside in the elements to de-gas. It remained in the elements for four weeks until it was finally able to come in the house without causing a major problem. The smell is still there on the product, but much better than when originally received.
