Really like this coffee pot..... on/off -- not auto-turn off -- I do not like auto turn off.... so if you are looking for that, this is not the pot for you! Perfect size, nice big caraff, big opening to pour in water and gauge right there. Fits under cabinets even if top is open! Looks great also

My Journey- I have always had an espresso machine from Breville. I had 1 for 9 years, serviced it religiously, it quit, contacted Breville, they sent a replacement (was not a free replacement), broke in 4 months, they didn’t do much except want a lot of money to repair a supposedly new machine. I said no. I researched & bought a cheaper espresso machine but it was all plastic so I returned it unused. Next was a French press, lots of great reviews, etc but it was messy & by the time I got coffee it was good but not so hot. After that I was given a used 4-5 cup ProctorSilex coffeemaker 6 mo. ago which made pretty good coffee then the carafe broke. I just got this Black & Decker coffeemaker and it is amazingly good. I think making smaller amounts of coffee is better because it’s always fresh & 5 cups is enough. Compact, simple, easy to pour coffee in the reservoir without spillage. $21.00. & with real good beans this works great for me.

I drink my coffee black, so taste wise on a scale of Keurig (1) to pour over (10), 10 being best, I rate this a 6-7. I’ve never owned a Black and Decker coffee maker, but I’ve had their toaster ovens for years, and thought I’d give it a try since I needed something that could make larger amounts of coffee at a time. I’m very glad I chose this unit. I think it looks really good in my kitchen and I like the size of the footprint. Features I like and use are brew strength, cleaning function, and the timer setting on the warming plate- which brings me to the 4 stars: I don’t know if it’s just my unit, but the plate runs so hot that after just 30 minutes, the coffee started tasting a little scorched. That’s not a deal breaker for me since I have a stainless carafe, but if you want to use the warmer, that’s a consideration. Otherwise, it makes really good coffee for an auto-drip.Some reviews complained about how the water goes in. I do have to pull it out from the wall and open the cabinet door above it, but that’s where I store all my coffee paraphernalia anyway, so not a big deal to me. Besides, I’m old enough to remember when the first Mr Coffees came out and between those first models and percolators, it’s something I’m used to doing since they all filled from the top.Cleaning: when I first got the coffee maker, the first few batches tasted appliance-y, so I had to do a cleaning cycle off the bat. That fixed the issue, so you might need to do that as well. The glass carafe, basket, and rest of unit are easy to clean. I just wipe down the inside of the lid and the shower head with a paper towel between cleaning/descaling cycles, and the unit looks like new. Given all the pros and cons, I think the pros win and recommend purchasing this coffee maker.

This is not a fancy coffee maker, which is what we wanted. Just pour the coffee in, put your coffee in the filter, close the lid and turn it on. We’ve had ours 6 months and no issues. Price is comparable to other stores. Ordered and it was delivered the same day. It does not have auto shut off, so you do have to be careful about that.

This 5-cup Black & Decker coffee maker really produces steaming hot, delicious coffee...even after adding the creamer!Also, this coffee machine came well packaged with great care. In particular, it had cardboard pieces surrounding/protecting the glass carafe. Even the electric cord prongs' space was reinforced/protected.This is a great space saving coffee machine...which produces hot coffee without any leakage from either the machine or the carafe when pouring!! A great buy for those living on a budget!! *****

Bought for a trip and it more than met our expectations. I ordered the carrying case for it and it fit perfectly. Coffee brewed in just a few minutes. Got 2 full cups out of it. Perfect for my wife and I. Very happy with the results.

STOP BUYING EXPENSIVE COFFEE POTS!!! I was tired of spending $80+ once a year on a coffee pot that would only last a year and had special screws so that you couldn't get in and clean the water pipes inside that so easily clogged. Just think of the crap your coffee water is being filtered through before making your coffee. I'm so angry, those screws should be illegal. This coffee pot is just a simple, manual machine that would make coffee fast. Forget throwing so much money away so you can set a clock to have coffee for the morning. You can pour the water and put the grinds in the night before then simply click it on in the morning or spend one minute doing it in the morning and have your coffee faster than you can finish your morning bathroom routine. I'm angry at these companies that deliberately put those screws there to deliberately (uhum) screw you to get more money from you.So what if you spend a few days to get your perfect coffee flavour, you generally have to do that with any pot. I did have to use a bit more coffee with this one because it pours so fast - or maybe it's simply because it's a 12 cup pot instead of the 10 cup I was using. I also had x3 thermos coffee pots from the more expensive machines so I simply pour the coffee into one and voila !! Hot coffee for the day without the burn.THANK YOU 'BLACK and DECKER' for this cost-saving "Easy Pour, Non-Drip Carafe with Removable Filter Basket" product. I actually didn't check the type of screws on this one, yet - I'm still too angry about them, but I hope you think about normal ones if you're using those 'screwy' ones. Give the consumer a chance to drink clean water by letting us clean those pipes inside. I guarantee you'll increase sales on any of your coffee pots if you advertise that ability to always drink clean water with 'Black and Decker' products!

This coffee maker brews great tasting coffee, and makes it quickly. Simple, small, yet better than all the expensive coffee makers out there.

Great! It's a simple easy to use coffee machine that is financially affordable. It's light weight and make a great cup of coffee, clean tasting, no burn taste. Easy to clean. Note it does not shut off automatically though.
