I was not paid for this review. I received nothing from this except an exceptional tool!I have always wondered why no one has designed a weed whacker for a woman. So many women own their own home.Well, someone did. This tool is lightweight, so simple to use and no special gas, gears, pumps etc.I love it!!I have a small yard. Takes me 45 minutes to mow it. This tool worked perfectly! I was able to weed whack my entire yard and the battery still had power. I was able to change the battery over to my leaf blower. I also own the Black & Decker leaf blower and the batteries are interchangeable. The battery runs for about an hour.I hate my gas powered weed whacker. Way too complicated. I kicked it to the curb! This tool is GOLD! It’s everything I hoped for! The designer deserves a huge raise! The best part is the line feeds automatically…GET OUT…priceless!!! Again, this tool is so easy to use!

I just got this last night and put it together and used it for the first time on my yard today. I only did edging since that's what needed done the most. I have 1/4 acre lot and not a very big yard and I couldn't even get all of the edging done just on the front yard with this 20v battery! It definitely needs a 40v battery to do even a smaller or medium sized yard. I'm happy with the weed eater otherwise. It's been the best one for a woman to assemble and operate overall in my opinion. I hate dealing with gas trimmers and edgers as they are too much maintenance and harder for a woman to maintain and operate and troubleshoot. I'm recently divorced so I needed something easy and light weight to operate and this is definitely it. I also love the automatic spooling!! The issue I've had with the last Hart electric weed eater was the spooler sucked and between me and my ex husband, neither of us could get it spooled properly or keep it spooling properly. I ended up throwing it out. I've been through 2 weed eaters and an edger and this is by far the best one for the buck so far in my opinion. It just needs a longer lasting battery.

So, I’m female, 5’2” tall, 70 years old, and hate manual labor.I live in a spot in the country carved out of brush and very determined, successful weeds. My weeds aren’t the kind that pop up in the putting green-style suburban lawns. Mine are angry, tough, and used to doing whatever the heck they want. They are the Viking invaders of weeds. They will grab your foot while you’re looking at them and try to wrap you up and drag you into the brush. So I have no choice but to go to battle with them lest the cover, grab, and move my house into the woods.I had my doubts about this weed eater. Since it’s battery powered and lightweight, I wondered if it was a glorified toy.Rest assured it is not. It’s a deceptive beast.I’ve had my share of weed eaters in the never ending endeavor. Name brand, gas powered, weighed about like a cooler full of beer, deafening, taller than me, and inevitably surrender to the weeds. So, I did my due diligence on yet another weed eater, aka money pit, and this one seemed to be the best buzz for the buck.Boy, was I right!First, it’s lightweight! I can easily use it for an hour without breaking my back. The adjustable shaft length and handle position enabled me to fit it to my height and stubby arms.It also self-feeds the string. Excellent innovation. Not once has it clogged or tangled and I didn’t have to continually smack its head on the ground to get it to play nice.It chews through weeds like they are cotton candy. Clean cuts, really fast. Finally, the battery rocks. I’ve run it for an hour and it hasn’t quit on me yet. Recharges in about 15 minutes. And is a breeze to snap on and off. Also, it’s a Black & Decker and the battery fits my B&D leaf blower! On a side note, I have the large B&D humane critter trap and it’s the best. Doesn’t even need a battery.I am so pleased, I was looking for new weeds to buzz just to watch them die.Highly recommend!

I had a 40V B&D cordless string trimmer for years, but eventually wore it out. I wanted to replace it with a 40V but could find it only in 20V. Although the battery doesn't seem to last as long, it is powerful enough and lasts long enough for the trimming I do around my yard (1/2 acre). If I want to do edging, I must recharge my batter to complete the job. But I know that in advance and plan accordingly. What I like m most is the ease to adjust the trimmer and adjust the edger. I find it comfortable enough and light enough to use - even thought I'm a 76 year old male! I wish the trimmer line would last longer, but that is the nature of nylon string trimmers. Of the options I researched, this seems like the best choice for me.

Out of the box, it requires a charge so don't expect to use it immediately. That said, it charged quickly and I was able to do my entire yard with ease. It's light weight. The vibration was much less then a traditional weed eater. Not having a cord to drag around was bliss. It has an auto feeder so if the line breaks you don't have to stop and pull more out. As many of the other reviews stated the refills are pricey but there are less expensive options. This purchase was worth the money spent.

Nice and light little tool. Takes 5 hours to charge the battery and one the first charge it only lasted 20 mins. Second charge just over 30. Hoping it will increase a bit more. Buy a replacement nylon when you order as the one with the product is super short. Oh and this is imported from the US so you need a step-down converter as well. Kind of working out expensive!

First of all, I'm not a handywoman at all. I was spoiled to have others /guys did it for me. Under the current circumstances, I have left with a DIY option or wait till all the weeds are 2 feet high.I was nervous to buy lawn equipment online and to use it the first time. After spending more time research than waiting for the delivery, I finally got it three days ago on amazon prime. Today I was brave enough to open the box and pleasantly found that it is not only super light but also well-built and needs no tools for assembling it. ok, you only need a screwdriver to take the only screw out and put it back when connecting to the main part of the equipment. after charging the battery for about 4-5 hours. I went out to test it. Wow, I am so excited by how easy and effortless this trimmer operates. After spending a good half an hour cleaning up front and backyards weeds, and flower beds, the battery is still working fine. I’m very happy and pleased with the first lawn equipment I own and use it without tears or frustration. Ladies, be brave and try this one, you will like it. now you know why guys call their tools toys. I enjoy using it and the result is amazing too. who does not like a fresh-cut and weed-free lawn?

I bought this based on the 20vMax L-ion battery which is the same as my hedge trimmer. My old B&D edger has a ni-cad battery no longer available. Old edger is fine but the battery doesn’t hold a charge very long. This new edger is lighter in weight but it’s also shorter. The motor on the new one is a disappointment compared to the old one but it’s good enough for edging and moderate trimming. Even with a weaker motor I prefer the new one for edging because it has a better angle while edging. The weaker motor probably gives longer battery life. This trimmer is a good value for low to medium duty. For heavy duty use look elsewhere.

I read the reviews and decided to buy for myself, what a game changer!! This weed wacker is so light and easy to use, it's perfect for me and I use it to mow my whole backyard, about 30min and the battery does last and dies at the 30min mark from going full out. It's the BEST purchase I've made, and no more stinky gas fumes or loud mower noise that hurts the ears. 10 out of 10 I highly recommend
