Several reviews stated that the pin stuck out and couldn't be removed. They must have been earlier units. The one I got has a magnet that holds the base on. You can use it without the base or with the base and the pin out or flip the base over and the pin will stay in. Laser is bright enough in no light and low light. With the pin striaght out it pins into the wood or drywall for simple hands free operation. Pin hole is small enough; see picture. The laser shoots far. Depending on light conditions. In the pics, you can see it shoots the full lenght of this 30' wall and can be seen on abutting wall. I used to have a little one like this years ago and paid a boat load for it. The nice thing about that one is it had two smaller pics for attaching it to the wall; but it didn't rotate like this one. After removing it you couldn't even see the two pin pricks. Anyway I can't find that one so I bought this one. For the price easy decission.

I had one of these levels for many years until the nail broke and was useless. I bought this one as a replacement and it's identical as the prior. Decent craftsmanship for the brand. The level is spot on as expected. It's a basic tool that does its job well.

I am by no means handy. I needed to hang a few pictures in my home and was able to use this to make sure everything was level. The light is okay, not as bright as I would like it to be but it is accurate it did like how it had a little pin that would can put into the wall to ensure it stayed in place. Very easy to use, especially by yourself

Very esay to use. Once you pin it on a wall make sure the degree numbers are on the outside so you can see. There is also a magnat on the bottom so it can be used on metal surfaces as well. The laser is very stable and straight. Make sure there are no misintended obstructions

If your needs are very basic, this is probably fine, but I have not really been able to use it properly to hang photos. Yes you do cast a light down the wall, but it’s easier to use a yardstick bubble level for that kind of job. I should have instead gone the “buy once cry once†route and paid more for a tripod mounted level so that I could level from across the room. This is of limited use to me.The device itself isn’t bad I suppose. I just find it a hassle to use properly and should have instead bought a straight edge level, or more appropriately, a tripod mounted laser.

This is the second one of these I purchased. The first one died after 15 years. It makes lining up, leveling and hanging pictures almost too easy.

Lo utilicé para colgar unos cuadros y unas repisas y te facilita mucho el que queden muy bien alineadas y no te queden "chuecas". Los acabados externos del nivel son de plástico de no mala calidad lo que aligera su uso ya que por la foto parece que tiene una mezcla de metal y plástico. Cumple con su cometido y lo recomiendo.

I use mine (2) on jigs to assist getting compound drill angles correct on my stool and chair seat blanks and these work great for that.

We had a level (like a small water one). This one was so much easier!! Especially for picture hanging multiple pictures or shelves! It’s literally worth every penny
