I have a vitamix 5000, very old. A real work horse. The drive and blade wore out. This was a very easy fix and it works great. My only complaint is that it seems to overheat and shut down more frequently. May be my fault for blending more frozen things, not sure.I couldn't have done it without the wrench to remove the assembly.

At the time of this review, the OEM Vitamix blade is three times the cost of this set, which also includes the wrench to loosen the container retainer, as well as a replacement socket.There are a number of these available, difficult to tell if one is better than the other. This one fits my Vitamix 6300 well. It is not quite as sharp as the OEM blade, but I can't really tell a difference in the blending performance - smoothie came out as smooth as usual. There is a slight resistance when spinning the blade, but that is probably normal and not an issue.Remains to be seen for how long it lasts before seizing. I make a daily smoothie with my blender, and the OEM blade lasted about 3 years. I will report back if this one fails prematurely.The included Drive Socket has a slightly different design (shorter "teeth" than the Vitamix one, which go all the way to the bottom of the hole). I don't see this one wear out much, but good to have a spare on hand I guess.

we’ve had our vitamix for close to 7 years and we were definitely due for a blade replacement. i decided on this one based on the great reviews. 🥕things i like:+ everything needed to make a complete switcheroo is included 🛠ï¸+ the price is great!+ quality seems great, tho only time will tellthings to consider:- it’s always a risk to go with off brand, but for the price this set seems worth it. esp, since it comes with the wrench!i’m glad this arrived before we we had a break down! 🙌ðŸ¼

It's a good price set and comes with all the tools I need. The black wrench is very useful when taking apart the blades. It also comes with a tiny wrench for the drive socket. Every thing you need to replace the blade comes with the replacement kit. I use Vitamix every day for my veggie smoothies. This wet blade was easy to install and it allowed me to continue making my morning smoothies. Love the kit. A decent purchase.

Our Vitamix was growling like crazy so I grabbed this before it really bit the dust. Opening it up, the blades are just cheap imitations and not the same angles and lengths as the original. The most valuable part of this seems to be the tool for removing the bottom of the pitcher. It's hard to get off without the tool!I ended up replacing the bearings on the original myself and keep this in reserve for a rainy day.If you're in a pinch and don't have $70 for the real wet blade replacements or $120 for a new pitcher(how does that math work, Vitamix??), then grab this and roll the dice to see how long it lasts.

The only thing that keeps this kit from being a perfect 5 stars is the quality of the blade. These replacements blades are cheaper for a reason, and it's not all about the brand. The actual metal used, as well as the process that creates it, appear to be inferior to OEM quality. I could be totally wrong, but the blades just don't seem as durable and sharp.The fit is perfect, and the tools included make it easy to change the blade. I would order the kit again, most likely, but it would be nice to pay a bit more from OEM quality.

When replacing the blade on a Vitamix, it's a good idea to also change the drive socket so that the gears wear evenly and together. This kit contains both a new blade and a new drive socket. But when replacing the blade in a Vitamix, the biggest problem is getting the old one off of the blender container. The specialized wrench in this kit makes removing the old blade a trivial problem for containers with bottoms that are manufactured to the Vitamix OEM standards (though off-brand containers may have bottoms that are differently designed so that this wrench will not work with them).I cannot comment on longevity; but the parts in this kit seem well made and the blade spins smoothly in the drive socket. The blade on my Vitamix is not yet worn out, but I'm pleased to have this set on hand for when the part finally will need replacing (I did try the wrench and it worked like a charm). For the price, I think that this is a set that's well worth having on hand for a quick and easy repair on an excellent kitchen tool; it has everything that's needed.

Found these to be a pretty good value especially compared to the original ones that are exceptionally more expensive. That said, it's definitely not as robust a blade as the original. It still seems to work well and the bearing is smooth too with no play. The wrench does the job and is nice to have in the set since the OEM ones don't include it and you have to get it separately. It's worth replacing the drive socket too since that can wear out and cause issues too. In other words, this kit is a really good value and could be replaced several times over for what an original costs.
