I got these for my balcony. They are extremely weatherproof, have outstanding connectors if you need to add more cables (I had to order an extra, I underestimated how much length would be used up by twisting around the rail).I recommend these for sure. There are fancier ones out there (multiple color choices on one strand, blinking lights, patterns, etc.) so if you're looking for something like that I'd say shop around a bit. But if you want a basic weatherproof rope light that can be extended, these are great. Very bright, and a nice deep blue. I used two cords on railing that covers three sides of a 5' x 12' balcony. I used small zip ties to fasten securely in place. Looks fantastic.

Nice electric blue. I purchased two sets and they link together beautifully. Initially had an issue with the linked set not lighting up when I tested it, but discovered I didn't tighten the connection enough. Easy fix. They include plenty of screws and clips to string them up. I'll be buying two more strands to complete the parameter of his ceiling. I absolutely recommend a dimmer switch for indoor usage. Finally got one and now it no longer looks like an alien craft crash landed in my son's room.
